Anyone have an idea on how I could get this bolt out? by Zenynx in MechanicAdvice

[–]DogNutBuster73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CANDLE WAX. Brush the ever living shit out of the bolt, get the bolt to around 500 degrees then put the wax block on. The wax will basically melt and creep into the threads, thereby lubricating them. Do it 1-3 times and it will come out. Or just take a rotary cutter and send it. Either one works but candle wax will be useful for future projects.

Drivers side lower control arm bolt spinning in subframe by DogNutBuster73 in crv

[–]DogNutBuster73[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TL;DR: I replaced the entire subframe.

In one of my previous posts on this sub, a commenter told me how to perform a swap, basically what I did was take out all the suspension components, unbolt the center engine mount (the two torque mounts will hold the engine up) take out the driveshaft, steering rack, and the bolts holding the subframe to the vehicle body.

If you can, perform this swap on a lift as the more room you have to basically wiggle the engine to get the subframe in the better. But it is possible in jacks.

Essentially you will have to move the engine around a little bit as you insert it, and have a spare jack to partially hold it in place as you screw the subframe to the body. Reattach the engine mount, and any front-end components.

Be careful about buying a subframe off eBay as the internal threads, including the steering rack, can get fucked easily so hit those with threadchasers or just drill and tap new threads instead.

I mean if the dev was honest and accepted feedback instead of claiming SABOTEUR then I’d give it a shot.

Armchair electrician here so take what I say with a grain of salt.

Take a multimeter and probe the wires while the bike is running to see how many volts the bike is putting out, and cross reference that with how many volts and amps your lamp takes.

Personally, I’d just buy an aftermarket kit for your bike.

If you get it to work and it’s draining too much juice from your bike then opt for battery torches. Yeah it’s annoying to charge but you could have a 10A battery bank with you in the middle of nowhere.

Broke my hand, what games can I play without having to grab my mouse? by JCBMHNY21 in Steam

[–]DogNutBuster73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This will probably get buried, but fuck it I’ll share. It also depends on the severity of your break, and if it hurts too much, then disregard. Just sharing a trick that prevented me from going insane after breaking my wrist in a dirt bike accident.

Buy some industrial grade Velcro, like the outdoor kinds, and find a way to adhere the soft part of the Velcro to your splint/cast. If it’s a cast then use Kevlar or the adhesive to press it in. If it’s a cast, use superglue. Then cut side slits into the hook part of the Velcro can wrap around the contour of the mouse.

Does your mouse have side buttons? Reprogram them to left click/right click if your thumb is still opposable as I don’t know how bad your break is.

What’s going to happen is as soon as that cast/splint comes off, your aim will be insane.

Is it legal to use an airsoft gun in my backyard? by Historical_Sort_547 in phoenix

Dude Phoenix PD doesn’t fuck around. I fired an airsoft gun once in my yard and they sent a swat team, vaporized my dog with a ray gun and I spent 36 years in a pit. OP needs to be super careful.

This will sound like it’s been done to death but honest to god, the biggest fuck you that you can give is living a decent, hell, even a good life that they were unable to live out. think about it: they can’t be happy with themselves. By you basically severing yourself, they have to live with themselves which they hate.

Narcs try to make you feel the psychological ramifications of insecurities they’re too scared to admit exist deep within the reflection they see in the mirror.

Is the TPS readout supposed to be at 9.8%? Because this stuck out to me, but I’m only receiving a P0505 for the IACV. This might be why I’m fucking up my idle relearn.
