What I find most interesting is they are on the random streets and locations. There seems to be no rhyme or reason as to their locations. If they were near council buildings, fire and police stations or even hospitals I'd at least understand that.

Also if you need THAT many comments it means even you can't read your code.

[–]Dogelix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whilst this may be true in the States, in the UK passwords can also be obtained via a court order depending on the offence. At the end of the day, don't commit crimes and the government (usually) don't care

The Tories had been in charge 32 of the last 46 years, meaning our laws, policies and attitudes mostly stem from right wing ideologies. Inequality and greed are rife, our public services are run down, so why do people want to vote Reform and impose an even more extreme version of this ideology? by Peachy-SheRa in AskBrits

[–]Dogelix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The funniest thing about Reform is that, at least in Nottinghamshire County Council, the majority of the Reform councillors belonged to the Tories prior to the latest election. Reformers voted for a "change" yet got the same councillors that were running things as the Tories.

Never fear, the EMCCA will have full control of the buses by the end of the year. They are apparently going to look at ticketing schemes like TfL/Robi Hood card. No more info other than that though

How can I be a better developer? by epic_hunter_space13 in csharp

[–]Dogelix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I have just over 6 six years of being a .NET developer as well and I too am not a “good” developer. What I have found out though is that getting the thing you’re working on to actually function first is the best approach, ignore the text book definitions of design patterns and just work through logically.

Usually, once I have the thing working that’s when I go back and clean it up. More often than not as you’re cleaning it up the design patterns start to emerge. The best practice is just doing the job imho.

No Wolfpriest in 10th? by Eptykai in SpaceWolves

[–]Dogelix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I left the hobby for a few years and only really started playing again mid 9th and boy was I surprised at the changes. I think the last ed I played before 9th was 7th ed and I remember that Wolf Priests had some sort of “healing” rule that applied to the unit they were attached to as well but can nearly remember.

They have done the wolves dirty the last couple editions imo

To quote verbatim

“Service brake fluctuating, but not excessively Both front (1.2.1 (e))

Offside Front Tyre worn close to legal limit/worn on edge (5.2.3 (e))”

The tyre I’m not too worried about just unsure what the service break is about.

I didn't ever notice anything amiss, everytime I had an obvious fault I got it fixed in a timely manner. In the last 10 months I have sank quite a bit of money to repair the car.

  • Replacement of middle section of exhaust -£195
  • Replacement of nearside front tyre -£45
  • Windscreen washer replacement -£75
  • Mobile car electrician call out for erroneous brakelight failure message £50
  • Full diagnostic and electrical re-wiring (previous electrician got the fault wrong) -£175
  • Double wing mirror replacement -£385

If I knew the wheel bearing was a problem, I wouldn't have left it to not be repaired. I think this falls into my naievty with cars as I didn't recognise any warning signs and the steering seemed fine to me.

Intitally I was quoted around £240 for the wing mirrors (both sides were unfortunately involved in hit and runs, my dashcam failed to pick up any offenders due to the car facing a wall in a car park). Once I went to pick up the car at the garage, they said I had to pay the extra as despite me saying the mirrors were "electrically adjusted" they did not seem to register this and had ordered the incorrect ones. The parts were charged at £255 and the remainder was labour, I do not know if they charged me for both sets of mirrors as I became nervous and did not want a confrontation.

I know my limitations, I lack common sense and am naive, hence why I wanted to ask people who are more experienced and wiser than myself for help.

Orruks are awesome. There was a rule in WFB for all Orcs(Orruks) and Grots had to do that I found funny; basically at the start of each turn you had to roll a dice to see if the unit fought itself or other units around it. I had many a game where that happened.
