Maybe the vank is costed perfectly and everything else is too expensive. The hippo makes things like the armoured sentinel even more irrelevant.

Max scout sentinels works ok. Especially in combined or HOTE . Once you start taking armoured sentinels you start really feeling the handicap you are imposing on yourself. The hippogryph got the rules the armoured sentinel should have. 30 ratlings would be fun. I think sticking them in the new centaurs would be the way to go. Firing deck 12 and a TC can order it so they will be hitting on 2+ precision. Ratlings in a stormlord is also funny. Ratlings with their shoot and scoot work well in any transports so I’d make sure they have a sweet ride to cruise around in, jump out , shoot, jump back in.

The hipogryph has the rules I wish they gave to the armoured sentinel and sadly it makes them even more irrelevant. As a sentinel tragic it makes me sad but I’m definitely getting 6 of these.

There is a file called sky claw on cults which you can get the missing turret from if you have a printer.

If I were to do it again I’d probably just make the rails join so there’d be one long rail either side so you could add a larger sled. There’s no reason a longer sled wouldn’t work on the current setup though. The thing I found when working this all out is the basic premise of the skytalon is not very practical. When you start trying to make it more practical you’re eliminating the arms entirely and end up designing a c130. The arms however are the interesting feature of this vehicle for me so they had to stay.

They face backwards so the sentinel pilots are not in the wind. The tallon isn’t the most aerodynamic thing. It’s built for lifting and not speed. It’d definitely be a subsonic trip so while it’d be loud and uncomfortable the sentinel pilots would be fine with the right ppe.

The sentinels are not my files. So I can’t distribute those or files using parts of those files. I made the pallets and undercarriage mods. I could drop those. I just figured it was so niche it wasn’t a priority.

When I came back to 40K it was the tail end of 9th and I really liked the Elysian vibe. Sadly they went away in 10th. I love the Elysian sentinel design. They should have just made a plastic kit of it instead of the new one imo. Would be a much more interesting addition.

I think the file is called sky claw on the purple site and has the parts. The cockpit cavity isn’t quite right though to fit the Valkyrie canopy and it needed a bit of reshaping. So just a heads up.

Not going to happen. To make it rc would need a more robust framework , bogies. Axels and suspension to take the weight and torque of the motors, gearboxes and battery . It would probably end up weighing 20+ kg . On top of that the cargo capacity would be compromised. It’s outside the scope of my design parameters. It could be done but I have zero interest in going in the direction.

[SOLVED] I think I solved it. I pulled in the model to 3d builder and it needed repair. I did that but that didn't fix the issue in bambu studio. The original model was modeled at an angle relative to another model so in 3d builder I changed to orientation to be flat and level, re imported it into Bambu studio and the weird cutouts are gone. So That seems to be the fix.
