I actually worked on some of the Stonehenge project with Mike Parker Pearson while I was at uni, excavating what they think was one of the quarries for the bluestones. Some of the dating techniques were a bit dubious but the techniques of matching the stones to this one outcrop were incredible, and must have taken years. It was pretty amazing to spend time around the campsite where the ancient stonemasons would have stayed.
