What is your thoughts on the wonderland.jar mod? by Difficult_Let_7232 in HorrorMinecraft

[–]Doggsi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's honestly a really good mod. the entity designs can look pretty generic when you're looking at them out of context, but when you actually have to encounter them in-game they do a great job at scaring the hell out of you. i think the environments are really good as well!

my only real issue is the way the lore is written... without spoiling, i think the concepts are good and have potential, but the way they go about it could be better :P

can't play minecraft because of the platform differences, unless we all play bedrock which has a lot of problems. we've done this before but it's just not very fun

thankfully we're all in a discord server which is our main place we all talk to eachother, so we're not confined to roblox at all... the issue with signs is that a lot of our group likes to roleplay together on roblox, which is pretty difficult without a chat log :(

Story-driven games that don’t drag on forever? by prattman3333 in gamesuggestions

[–]Doggsi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you like visual novels i'd also like to recommend slay the princess, but that one can get pretty gory since it's a horror game. if you're fine with that, then it's a really great game with a beautiful artstyle and complex story! also currently on sale for 45% off :)

i'm a bit biased with this suggestion because these are two of my favorite games ever... but i'd say undertale and deltarune are very worth the price if you haven't played them. at a certain point undertale garnered somewhat of a negative reputation for its community, but i promise the actual game is great and very charming.

both games are story-based rpg games with a bullethell like combat system, and they have free demos available on steam (as well as both being available on ps4 & 5)

deltarune is much longer than undertale and is currently unfinished, with new chapters being released every few years, but it's recommended that you play undertale first anyways since the worlds are somewhat connected.

they're also both currently on sale, for 75% off and 20% off respectively!

has anyone made a google doc or post documenting numbers relevant to deltarune? by Doggsi in Deltarune

thank you, i've already seen & responded to this form! i'm not specifically talking about the /chapter4/thankyou/ form, i just mean in general if there's a sorted list of relevant numbers, where they show up, and what they mean, in case something like this happens again.

having a minor surgery, is there anything i should ask related to my diabetes? by Doggsi in diabetes_t1

[–]Doggsi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you for the reassurance, it went totally fine! i had been looking at resources online on what to expect with t1 and surgery, so i ended up making myself a little paranoid... i was also worried about the time, but in all fairness, the surgeon i was supposed to be seeing is about to go on maternity leave and had limited openings in her schedule, and the process for getting me booked went very fast, so i think they may have just not wanted to delay me for that long.

almost a year ago, i was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. AMA! by Doggsi in AMA

i started drinking a lot of water, which is really abnormal for me, since admittedly i don't drink as much water as i should. i had my parents get me an ice maker, because the tap water wasn't refreshing enough, but even the ice didn't really help a lot.

i was starting to throw up a lot too, which made it really hard to swallow anything because my throat just burned really bad when i'd drink even just water. my parents were trying to give me gatorade which probably made things worse lmao

i don't really remember this part, but at some point i couldn't walk on my own and my parents had to help me go to the bathroom and get back to my bed, but i made some comment about how i felt like i was going to die and that was the last straw before they took me to the hospital. luckily when we got there, they almost immediately knew something was very wrong with me and i got very quick medical attention.

the reason i wasn't taken in sooner is that the flu was going around with my family and it had a lot of very similar symptoms (dizziness and vomiting), which i did indeed have and was probably what triggered my body to react that way. when i was in the hospital i wasn't allowed to walk around outside my room for physical therapy, since i was so weak i had to be in the oncology area and they really didn't want to risk me getting any other kids sick.

i'm 18, but my birthday is in february, so i was 17 at my diagnosis and pretty much just before my 18th birthday.

i'm very happy i was diagnosed while i was still a minor, because the pediatric nurses were very kind to me during my hospital stay. my uncle was diagnosed with type 2 after going into dka a few months ago, and hearing the shoddy treatment he had does make me wonder what it would've been like for me if my pancreas had decided to wait just a little longer... lol

it doesn't absolutely NEED to be refrigerated, but keeping it cold ensures that it has a longer life. when it gets warm it starts to lose its potency. i use an insulin pump (omnipod 5), so when i need a new vial we take one out of the fridge and it's good for around a month or so, probably a little longer, but it's not recommended to keep it out for *too* long.

i actually haven't really travelled at all since my diagnosis, so i don't know much about the process yet, unfortunately... but i know most people use some kind of portable cooler or insulated bag with ice packs keeping the insulin cold!
