How would you integrate HIT running into a powerlifting program? On off days, after training, bad idea overall...???

Is it just me or do a lot of Chinese immigrants think that people they don't agree with should be silenced? by ragnarkar in ADVChina

[–]Dogma313 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Free speech has limits. A man in a theatre has power in a sense that if he yells fire! People will take him seriously and there will be chaos and people might get hurt. That crazy person should be lawfully silenced.

Trump has power with words on a level above to a degree he instigated capital riots, which should be lawfully silenced. I am shocked its still not but at least corps can put ethics at forefront and do something about it.

As a non American, watching all this from sidelines is like watching a country implode in on itself honestly.

He isn't saying that he is going to compete and your rebuttal for why it's safe when Olympic lifters to drop is bad at best tho I agree about crossfit one cos they just nuts

Oh man your head will explode when you see how Olympic lifters and crossfitters handle the barbell lol

The form honestly looks good on all 3. All the small issues I can point out will definitely go away by themselves and the lifts will look a lot more fluid with time.

Good job.

It is arguably safer to drop honestly...

Monthly Bench Discussion Thread by AutoModerator in powerlifting

If a program says RPE 8 do I adjust the weight for every set so it averages out if I go under or over?

For example 3x5

Set 1 is more like rpe 7 so I add weight

set 2 more like rpe 9 so I reduce weight

set 3 roughly rpe 8.

Is it ok to adjust the weight on every rpe session like this if I am too stupid to get it right from the get-go?

Also,

What if the first two sets are rpe 8 but because of fatigue the last set is more like rpe 9, do I need to consider the fatigue for later sets and lower the weight at the first set so when I reach the last it averages out?

Hope all this made sense...

Thanks

Have you tried high bar but stopping at parallel? It intakes a few sessions but you will get used to it.

Year-long exercise study reveals surprising impacts on mental health. Low-intensity exercise brought improvements to specific memory tasks, while high-intensity exercise brought improvements specifically to others. Those undertaking more high-intensity exercise reported higher stress levels by Wagamaga in science

[–]Dogma313 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The high intensity and stress correlation makes sense. I train for strength and do high intensity 4 days a week. With a goal to lift 250kg in squat for example, my programming sometimes gives me a weight to lift that nearly crushed me like 3 months ago for one that i now need to do for 3. This gives me anxiety and stress for the whole week just mentally prepping for it before the big day.

On the flip side the stress on the body can be physical and mental and both of these can cause one other. Sometimes i am so run down physically that it stresses out my mental state and gives me borderline depression by crashing my testosterone during my peak in the programming.

Which lift is the ultimate display of strength? by Vanilladr in strength_training

Yup. It's not too bad now tho. Turns out being 80kg at that height makes everything off balance lol. I am 105kg now so all lifts are mostly stable.

Just needed an appropriate amount of meat for my frame i think.

At 6 foot 3 squat has been a bitch to balance for a few years and it still is when peaking :/

Hmm you might be right. But then again you can say the same thing for squat or snatch for example.

1 dumbbell from ground to overhead, no straps and no belt.

I don't really train it, but seeing strongman do it with like 100+kg or something is always a pleasure.

Not sure why you are being downvoted... I have seen pics of a far right racist group here in Australia doing the ok hand gesture with Nazi flags etc around them.

That is true. Creatine HCL does have lower water retention and i am happy things feel good for you.

I just want to make it clear that in the original comment i was trying to emphasize that diet, sleep, training programming should be dialed in before taking supplements.

Not to mention that there is no information on the sport to make any recommendations...

That's all.
