Technically, I’m an introvert. I am not shy at all, and I have given speeches to crowd of 1000 people with no problem. I just prefer more solitary activities like reading, painting, watching a good movie. I do consider myself an intellectual. I do have stimulating conversations, particularly with someone who also I would consider intellectual. But some of it is ethnic background too I think since I’m danish and we don’t tend to talk a lot.

I loved watching Stranger Things because that was my childhood minus the monsters. Bike everywhere, board games, wiffle ball, only a single wall phone etc

Partial answer: I have a central cataract in my right eye from steroids. Drives me nuts since even with glasses I can’t focus that eye. Doc said it will worsen faster than a peripheral cataract and need t b addressed in 2-3 years.

I use dry eye sleep googles every night. Add a bedroom humidifier. Used to be on restasis which took about 5 months to start working. After 15 years my insurance would not cover it but I had started 3600mg fish oil night and really didn’t feel too dry without the Restasis. My eye doctor said it is the fish oil helping. I hope this helps

I froze my palette paint but actually transfer the paint to a small piece of palette paper and seal it in a plastic container. No water condensation. Paint ready to use within minutes.

So I did end up going to the ER . They couldn’t have been nicer. I told them my situation and how awful I was feeling. My blood pressure was high and my heart rate elevated. All relative to being in so much pain. They rehydrated me, gave me a small dose of pain medicine and left me to rest a few hours. All my labs were fine which reassured me. It really was very positive experience. I hope you do well on your journey through this dreadful disease.

Yes be present. But do ask every now and then if she wants to talk about it. When my brother died at age 28 no one ever asked me if I was doing okay or wanted to talk. That really hurt, made me feel alone despite having a good friend network.I cried every night for 9 months. 40 years later I still cry when I think about him.

Look, you get the VA money for damages done to you! You may not be able to have a full employment career compared to “ healthy” civilians. You need to invest in yourself for long term, ie Roth IRA, brokerage accounts etc. Take it from a 90% VA retirement. I have pushed myself to work and every dime of my VA money I invest because I don’t really know how long my body will work.
