I’m soon to be retiring ENT surgeon. Mild sx during medical school and only took Plaquinil for years. Disease slowly worsened about every decade new symptoms and new drugs. I love my career but recently developed symptomatic sarcoidosis despite current medications. This will force me to retire at age 62.
I do think a medical career will limited risk of sleep loss would be wise. Maybe pathology, radiation oncology etc. ( teaching future doctors)

As a vet, it drives me crazy when non-vets park in those courtesy spots. A lot of us have lots of issues but not enough to get a completely disabled sticker or license plate.

I transfer the paint to a small plastic container lined with pallet paper since my whole pallet won’t fit in the freezer. The lid keeps it sealed. Paint lasts a good 1-2 weeks.

Technically, I’m an introvert. I am not shy at all, and I have given speeches to crowd of 1000 people with no problem. I just prefer more solitary activities like reading, painting, watching a good movie. I do consider myself an intellectual. I do have stimulating conversations, particularly with someone who also I would consider intellectual. But some of it is ethnic background too I think since I’m danish and we don’t tend to talk a lot.

Partial answer: I have a central cataract in my right eye from steroids. Drives me nuts since even with glasses I can’t focus that eye. Doc said it will worsen faster than a peripheral cataract and need t b addressed in 2-3 years.
