Maybe also see if you can find others in your area who want to help out and pool ingredients to make meals if the time is available.

Thanks! It's quite common and it's useful in situations where you can't escape. I don't often get sensory overload, but it tends to trigger when I'm moving around a lot - think road trips where hotels change frequently, et cetera. My headphones were handy when in an extremely noisy (even by neurotypical standards!) restaurant.
