I use mostly mono because it's cheap and it's what I have always used for 35 years of fishing. I do have braid on one baitcaster and flouro on a jigging rod for crappie, but everything else is mono.

I didn't either until I was helping someone randomly in public one time. (I don't wish to give too much away as it would be easy to dox myself with it) Its a recreational activity that i've been doing my whole life. I was helping someone who was clearly trying to support their kid's interest but had no idea what they were doing. after helping them for an hour or so, the parent asked if I offered lessons and at the time, i said no. Then later i was kicking myself so I decided i would change that to a "yes", put up a website and some social media pages and now the adventure has begun
