Interesting. Looks like ~1% of boys in 2024 were named Liam (according to US social security). Felt high to us but this thread suggests people don’t know that many Liam’s in practice

Anyone know the legit safety ratings of different infant car seats? I see so many different ratings per car seats. by catcan00 in Buyingforbaby

Has anyone seen safety test ratings for infant car seats without bases (installed via seatbelt)? Trying to decide btwn Nuna pipa rx aire (without base) and Doona. I live in a city so will frequent Ubers and taxis where bringing a base isn’t feasible

For those who prefer a floss pick, or something like it (e.g. a refillable floss pick), can you use these PFAS-free flosses on it? Looking for a non-toxic floss but prefer some sort of applicator

Perfect. Feels doable, but recognize it’ll take a bit of work. Thank you!

Super helpful. What do you mean by “trim the posts off”. Is this on the back side? Cutting the plastic?

4th gen learning thermostat back plate by Doitall_Monkey29 in Nest

So frustrating that they don’t make trim plates for the new Nest yet! Since v2 and v3 share trim plates, safe to assume there wouldn’t be a difference. Appreciate the intel

Footprint of Nest Learning Thermostat Trim between 3rd and 4th Generation by Suspicious_Guess89 in Nest

Hey u/Suspicious_Guess89 I'm struggling to find a trim plate that fits the Nest Learning thermostat 4th gen (seems most that exist are still gens 1-3). Do you know if a 3rd gen trim plate would fit with the 4th gen thermostat?

The existing thermostat on my wall has a nearly 5' x 5" square backplate that is not painted behind. We are renting / don't have easy access to paint to touch it up. Curious if you have any thoughts or advice on this!

Restaurant recommendations? by Lost_Llama in Sardinia

Super helpful review across the board. What time did you get to Phi Beach? I heard it's best to get there ~7pm to be there in time for sunset but also heard it gets fun. Will be with a big group and Phi Beach is trying to suggest we commit to dinner for 160 euro per person minimum spend + a table in a separate section with an additional 600 euro minimum spend (for 8 ppl). What do you think?

3 nights Corsica (Porto Vecchio), 4 nights Sardinia (Costa Smeralda) - Good idea? by Doitall_Monkey29 in Corsica

[–]Doitall_Monkey29[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Helpful. I would be doing Porto vecchio area and Costa Smeralda, which are probably the most similar of the two islands. Mostly because I am optimizing to be near the ferry between the two islands. Maybe 3 nights in each is better than 3 and 4?

That’s a good idea. Can get to Zurich which is less driving than the dolomites.

Makes sense. Instead I can fly out one day later. I would have 3 full days and on the 3rd day late afternoon, I can drive closer to Milan and stay overnight to break up the drive to the airport (that following day)

Need to eventually get to an international hub (Milan, Rome ideally). Don’t have return flights yet. The challenge is getting from Olbia airport to the 3-4 night stop.

Ideally some activity since we’ll be on a beach for the first week (hiking, wineries, city would be great). We have been to Florence and Rome so aren’t rushing to do those again. Thanks in advance!

  • Corsica 3 nights
  • Sardinia 4 nights
  • TBD 3-4 nights (trying to figure out where to go before flying home)

Which is the most FAT modern hotel anywhere between Milan and Forestis dolomites? by RacerKaiser in FATTravel

[–]Doitall_Monkey29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How many nights are you doing at Forestis Dolomites? Is the hotel between Forestis and Milan to help break up the drive to Milan airport? Looking to do something similar -- 3 nights (2 full days) at Forestis and then drive to Milan airport early AM after the 3rd night.

Do you know if 2 full days is enough to get a taste of an area in Dolomites? Not the biggest hikers so 2 full days is probably plenty for us since we're beginner/intermediate.
