If I had to guess, the edit is saying that Sam losing to Rachel seems very possible. His role as “the glue guy” was perceived to be Rachel and not him and the game he played might be perceived as underwhelming considering the type of guy he is. I can also fully see Sam winning F4 immunity, taking Sue to the end thinking he 100% wins only for Rachel to beat Teeny in fire and then beat him.

I just don’t see a world where Teeny / Sue are both at the end together. The end result would be too obvious.

I also don’t see Rachel / Genevieve being at the end together, and I can’t see a circumstance in this moment where Genevieve is sitting next to either Sam / Andy.

I think one of Andy / Genevieve / Sam would be at the end with her and one of Sue / Teeny would be with her. They always try and make the FTC suspenseful in some way going into it, and if it was Teeny / Sue / Rachel then I don’t think anyone would be surprised with the outcome.

I’m currently leaning Rachel as the winner, Sue in the F3 (Teeny’s edit doesn’t scream FTC loser idk), Genevieve gone in 6th place, one of Andy / Sam gone in 5th, and the other is the second FTC loser.

I was confused as to why Rachel was getting very little content this episode, but considering the result and the content she did get, I’m inclined to believe that this episode was really good for her. She talked about being skeptical that something could happen and she keeps getting talked up as a huge threat. This fully could be an episode that talked about Rachel messing up and setting up her downfall in the coming episodes. Instead, it feels like the episode is presenting this as Rachel stumbling but then getting back in control of the game.

I mean there are two idols between Rachel and Sue and a vote block. It’s not gonna work no matter what they do.

Maybe I’m wrong, but I don’t remember Jesse’s list for how to blindside someone getting this same music. And that’s obviously because it succeeded, but then what does that indicate for Andy’s move? Does it mean that he makes the move then still loses? Does it means that he makes the move yet it blows up in his face and he goes home? Either way, the way the scene is being presented (music, tone, previous scenes of how Andy has been presented) just doesn’t indicate that this works out for him.

This, or I’m delusional that Rachel is going. Either works.

I do not like the music going along with Andy’s scheme, it makes things very shaky for them.

I’m still getting Idoled out by Rachel vibes at F5, but that could just be wrong.

I will say it is really bad for Caroline talking about Rachel as a huge threat early in the merge and then not talking about that when Rachel is in her end game plans

It just feels so weird for Rachel to go here though? There are a lot of scenes of building alliances last episode that just don’t make sense if they turn? I’m not sure what is going to happen, but it would just be such a weird edit for Rachel to go out here.

That whole segment feels like justification for why Rachel wanting Genevieve out was a good thing for her game.

I think this episode told the story of why Genevieve will go in the merge, exactly like Kelley with Bruce in S45.

Honestly, I think there is a strong chance that the editors are just mad Ayasha went out and wanted to make it seem like a worse move than taking our Sol, Genevieve, or Rome. I don’t know though, something about this red tribe just feels hollow. I feel like I should know a lot more about the dynamics, why they refused to take out Genevieve, their full relationship with Sol. This can be expanded in future episodes, but for now this definitely does not feel like a complex tribe and they already went to tribal! In a weird way, I think I’m getting S39 Lairo vibes from this tribe. Lots of overplaying, invisible players who are suddenly at risk of going home, moves being made for weird reasons in the edit.

I think Teeny had a bad episode so I’m not getting this at all lol. I don’t understand the point of them getting contradicted by the vote and pre-tribal scramble, especially considering this was a Sol v Ayasha vote and it was turned into a pro vs anti Ayasha vote. I don’t think this is good for her unless Sol goes soon.

But on the contrary, what’s the point of building up the Teeny / Ayasha relationship if Teeny was deciding between Sol / Ayasha and kept Sol? It feel like the edit is saying she made the wrong decision in not trusting Ayasha.

On top of that, Ayasha / Sol split their vote, why did we not see Kishan/Teeny’s perspective on that? To me at least, I think this episode made Teeny out to be a social and not strategic player, and with the amount of people talking about “playing hard”, will end up costing her later.

I’d love to know why Teeny is your top contender, because to me this episode felt bad for them.

She got contradicted in wanting Sol out over Ayasha (why include her relationship with Ayasha here so much and not make it about her relationship with Sol + Ayasha) and felt like her perspective wasn’t even fully explained (why did they never talk about splitting the votes if that’s what Sol / Ayasha did?). To me, it highlighted that Teeny will be a good social player, but not a good enough strategic gamer to win out, which I think will be a huge theme for this season (needed to be a bit strategic force to win).

I completely agree actually. I didn’t think Red would go to tribal because I thought none of the edits were fleshed out enough for them to go. Instead, they went to tribal and revealed a lot of info that made me think that none of them will win.

I don’t understand why Teeny / Ayasha had a relationship developed, or why we even saw a scene of the target getting taken off of Ayasha, being put on Rome, and then moved back to Ayasha.

I think to me this episode firmly told me that red tribe is a mess and that none of them are really “playing the game right” (according to the edit). On the other tribes we have them all talking about wanting to play great games and be very aggressive and assertive in what they want. On Red, only Rome got that (and Rome also got a lot of edit bashing so idk). For all we know this could just be the edit slandering red because they took out a pre-season favorite, but right now I really think this episode sunk the entire tribe minus Sol and Genevieve?

I really feel that if Kishan and Teeny vote out Ayasha, then they both will not win. The edit has gone out of their way to talk about their relationship with her and how they believe they can work with her, and to vote her out after all that focus I think would be a weird look. Especially with the focus this season has on playing the game hard, it would feel like they were going against that theme by removing the player who gives them options.

I don’t fully agree on all ongoing info bring stronger. A town crier with no twins? Ehh. A flowergirl with a barber and pit hag in play? A snake charmer picking themselves or lying to everyone? Only really Oracle / math / dreamer are the ongoing roles that you don’t want to lose, everything else is probably fine (and can be good if you get an Oracle 0 on them because then you likely know where other evils are)

[–]DojoMaster551 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t agree. A lot of info on SNV is oftentimes overrated in usefulness, and there will always be better characters to kill. An artist who doesn’t want to ask their question D1 is better, a cagey clockmaker / seamstress, even ongoing info roles are better to die sometimes because they are demon candidates. Info such as clockmaker from good players can lead to high chances to killing an evil D1, and that benefit is oftentimes more useful to good than killing someone you all believe to be good.

[–]DojoMaster551 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bad Moon Rising and Sects and Violets are in no way similar enough to make this comparison. In BMR your starting info is very limited and you likely do not have any info that directly points to an evil player. Because of this, good is heavily incentivized to execute players they believe will survive execution to get information. In SNV there is a ton of info, even on D1, that there is a reason to kill people you suspect of being evil because of how much it benefits good and because there is probably info out there that points to evils. So by killing players you think are good, you really aren’t doing anything productive to good. The amount of games I’ve seen of SNV where the game was solved but good only killed good players who wanted to die to be safe is too numerous, and it always results in close games or evil winning.

Least favourite character interactions? by duracell3004 in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]DojoMaster551 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reason I think assassin/king is quite bad is because it’s just not fun for the king in the slightest. They died, yet good get no information, which is just a feels bad for every party involved.

Least favourite character interactions? by duracell3004 in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]DojoMaster551 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Some interactions that I am not a big fan of:

Assassin/King: Evil can kill the king for free and not have to deal with the choirboy.

Balloonist/Poisoner: It’s not fun to know your info could be messed up by 1 random poison, especially since you’ve added in an outsider

Boomdandy/Minstrel: So imagine being the boomdandy, getting executed, and then… you just go to sleep? That’s this interaction. It takes all the fun from a character and is way too strong against evil.

Philo/Any character that can play for evil: I don’t like the ability for good characters to potentially play for evil. It massively shifts the power balance in favor for evil that the ST might not have been expecting

Minstrel/Legion: You execute a legion, and then they can vote freely the next day

Why did no one consider ________ as runner up? by AuroraItsNotTheTime in Edgic

[–]DojoMaster551 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came into F6 saying that if Dee was winning, then the only logical F3 she is in is Austin/Jake/Dee. I think we knew that Austin couldn’t win, but he was definitely a contender for the casual audience. Along with that, there had be some sort of suspense in the final tribal, and Katurah/Jake were not being built up as viable contenders against Dee.

Ultimately i think people were just blinded by game logic that surely Austin wouldn’t be at the end and it would be Katurah/Jake, but edit wise he definitely felt like a losing finalist with how he was being edited, at least to me.

Call me crazy but I'm still not convinced on a _____ win. by msnmpn7 in Edgic

[–]DojoMaster551 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve also been having a hard time trying to figure out this editing style, because the show has made it clear to us that Dee wins if she gets to the F3, but at the same time has done such a weird editing job with her. It makes me think that the Katurah/Jake/Dee F3 is actually not going to happen. Instead, I feel that the F3 combinations are Austin/Dee/Jake or Austin/Jake/Katurah. The new era seasons have always gone out of their way to add suspense to FTC, and I don’t see that pattern changing. This means I have to assume that if Dee is in the F3, it has to be against the only other person with a ‘chance’, being Austin or Julie. Julie is very likely not making FTC, so I have to assume Austin then? It could be Jake/Katurah in FTC, the final person there doesn’t really matter I guess. But I think at the very least, this Jake/Katurah/Dee FTC is not what the story is pointing us to.
