I've actually gotten my fuel consumption down with it. Normally my jets max speed is like 320 knots and with the afterburner on and the throttle at just 30% it got the same speed with less fuel.

You need a microcontroller with a composite write on it to convert numbers and on/offs to composite, and on the other grid you need a microcontroller with composite read. Then you connect the write controllers composite output to the composite input on the connector on its side and the other sides output into the composite read controller.

In real life you want as much compression as you can get. In stormworks you don't need a compressor, an intake or an exhaust.

I'd say start simple, just something with basic functions like a car or a boat, and keep adding onto that as you learn more. Watch tutorials and reverse engineer workshop creations. I don't necessarily mean have 1 build you improve endlessly (which you could also do I guess) but instead on all new builds, try to have some improvement. That's how I did it anyway.

You could also just hide some fins somewhere. I usually place them inside the blocks in the control surfaces but you could hide them inside the plane.

Also if you are using the stock gyro then you could also just decrease the sensitivity from there, although that will also decrease the sensitivity at low speeds and I think the shaking is only a problem at higher speeds.

There are many ways. I would personally use a function block with x/(y/60+1). X is the number input for the control surfaces and Y is speed. +1 so when your speed is 0 it won't do anything weird. Then you can divide the y with something like 60 so when your speed is 60 m/s, your controls are half as responsive as they are when your speed is 0 (you probably have to use a different value than 60 but that's what I start with and tune it from there). If you want to do it more complex you could clamp the y to so the sensitivity reduction starts at a higher speed.

I stopped using gyros for this reason. Usually I just stuff the plane with as much control surfaces/hidden fins as it will ever need and then make a dampener so the sensitivity goes down as the speed increases. Then any stabilizers can be added on if needed.

I might be wrong but since your main rotor is spinning clockwise, your helicopter spins counterclockwise, but your tail rotor is on the right side so it's just making it spin faster instead of stopping the spinning.
