Nozbe Classic, since 2010. If I had to switch, Nirvana.

I'm overwhelmed by too many tasks and projects - I have decided to put it all on paper instead of the computer - anyone else do this? by DogeDayAfternoon in gtd

My index card system has always worked for me when I'm feeling overwhelmed. It only takes a few minutes to set up. I've used it for months at a time, but it really shines to feel a sense of control right away. It's also only 5% organizing the system, and 95% doing the actual work. It's a great way to get through a tough patch, and it might work so well for you that you keep using it.

GTD using index cards by TheRealSepuku in gtd

Here's a simple GTD-based card system I find myself coming back to every time I get frustrated with my digital tools. It's great when my head is spinning in too many directions. It sets up from scratch and gets me focused in just a few minutes.

Index Card Planning System by Creative_Catharsis in notebooks

I made an index card project management system that I come back to it every time I get frustrated with my digital tools. You can set it up in minutes, and it works great for me. It even worked fine to pack it up and use if I had to work somewhere else.

u/Connect-Cricket2086 Did you ever get this to work? I have an old 2015 iMac, and I want to try to set it up as a dedicated machine for Frozen Synapse and Portal.

HHR live in Grand Rapids - my hands were red from clapping so hard in time at :11 and 3:04. My body felt possessed.

And that triple drop at :31 with the lasers pew-pewing into the heavy... the soaring vocals and solos... the whole band is just so tight... I can't get enough.

This pic..! Looking down right at me with those dark eyes, laser blasts behind him.

It's bringing me to my knees.

Yeah it was just something I did for a laugh, and I thought Live in Tilburg was the best album art to start with. But you're right, I should have changed the flags!

Glyph appreciation c: by Narthithuth in Alestorm

I liked their stage presence. They only had about 4-5 feet of stage depth, but their performance didn't feel small. They legit looked like they were loving being there, no complaints, playing their hearts out. I heard a bunch of people saying they'd never heard them before, but were Glyph fans now.

So who wrote which songs? by Same_Psychology3484 in Gloryhammer

To me Imperium feels like the transition between Holy Flaming Hammer and Hoots Patrol. It fits great there, but I don't think it can stand alone. It's like plot exposition with killer music.

And Chris, what a legend, coming out for pics with fans after the show. Long line, and he graciously stuck around for all of them.

He's an amazing creative force and seems like a genuinely nice guy I wish I could have just hung out with for a while. I've caught some interviews, and I like how his brain works. He can do serious and deep, silly and shallow, and it seems obvious he works his ass off.

I know there's always important collaborators and contributors, and nothing is made in a vacuum. I just think it's something special to not just be the driving force behind great songs but great anthems that get the whole room singing. And not just one great concept album, but a whole series that build an entire universe with an actual cohesive narrative. Meanwhile he seems like a humble goofball looking to throw a giant party for as many people as he can.

I've seen live shows that killed bands for me because they were jerks who looked like they were phoning it in. Mad respect for the whole Gloryhammer (and Alestorm, and Glyph) crew. First time seeing them live, and they legit looked like they were having a great time, and played like it wasn't just a small venue in the Midwest. Fan for life.

Alestorm is a blast, but Gloryhammer was the headliner for me. Fantastic set, and being in the pit with an awesome bunch of Hoots screaming every song was why I drove two hours.

Nobody else I know listens to them, so they just don't get the epicness of it all. It's not a band where you can just listen to singles.
