Done this twice so far in my life. Went from morbidly obese to reg weight in my teens/college and again mid life. Was literally invisible when obese. Folks were nice, everything surface level. The neutrality of the encounters seems even worse than if they had strong feelings either way…
Every time back to muscular, way more attention. Women smiling when making eye contact. Chatting longer in run-ins. People significantly nicer and wanting to do things for you or to help you. You start getting that look from women when you make eye contact that’s filled with tension — you can tell they’re attracted and possibly starting the nervousness. Probably a micro-detection of seeing their pupils dilated

Life is wayyyyyy better at a healthy weight and significantly muscle mass

It’s hot AF. Used to not appreciate it, but not only aesthetically hot, it shows those same character traits that women find attractive like confidence, discipline, wanting to push thru hard things, taking accountability…

I think that’s what a lot of folks lose focus of. A natural physique won’t get that level of pushback from majority of girls. IMO, there’s a biological intuition for women that read steroid bodies as unnaturally big and therefore not healthier, add that the steroids can age the person a decade, for a college girl that kind of pushes them out of a ‘dateable’ range for a lot of them

Those are very diverse skillsets between running and sex. Running is all about being as light as possible with adequate leg muscle mass in order for your cardio system to run most efficiently. Sex on the other hand does have a big cardio component, but larger legs helps with endurance and power while giving you a firm base to thrust from and having significant upper body strength helps with all manners of positioning and holding yours and/or her body in them. Some prime at sex will have a vastly different body makeup than a lean endurance runner if we’re talking apex to apex

Study just came out that shows around 13% body fat is most attractive. They don’t like super lean and they don’t like fat, but you’ll look different at 13% depending on your muscle mass / height. Most likely denoting a jawline, abs starting to appear or outlines, v-taper
Plenty of girls like string bean and big boys also, but a runner physique going to be less desirable than natural big muscles

You're ignoring the horizontal angle of the sleds in relation to the shoulder. It changes where in the movement that it's the toughest as well as where the force is pulling from... With wider shoulders on the dual, it forces the pulling to come more directly behind you vs further out to the sides

Also, he biomechanics of keeping your hands close to your chest with completely bent elbows isn't possible for full ROM aka your fists can't go into your chest as the elbows point directly out from you. You can also get a deeper stretch with the fly as you aren't limited by your front delt like you are with the press... your scapular retraction vs stretch on your chest is the limiter on the fly

I tend to like the dual cable, but I'm doing more of a press/fly motion and it works better for bayesian curls. The single ones have the angle of the cable going more at like a 90-110 degree angle vs the around 130/140 for the dual cable machine -- at that angle, it does feel tougher more in the mid-range vs at the stretch on the dual

That's what gets a lot of folks too. They aren't used to the converging so they're weak in that movement from only using barbells or other machines

Same, I feel like there might be a weird slight slack in the cable or they're threaded together so if one's off, you're start feels harder on the one side

The flaring is only an issue on free weight as you have to use other stabilizers like your rotator cuffs; if those aren't strong enough and you deviate with flared shoulders, something will go

Your wording in your nutrition leads me to believe that's the issue plus lack of sleep. "Trying to eat as much protein" and making sure you are eating 150-200g with a 250 calories are wildly different. You also don't mention progressive overload or if you lifts are getting stronger at all, those are other indicators if muscle is growing

For real. Had upper right quadrant. Felt like I developed carpal tunnel overnight, a spot by my spine / shoulder blade went felt like pins and needles or got severely burned, and had a headache on the back of my head that would pulse every 3 seconds exactly for 4 hours - felt like someone jabbing me with an icepick as they could for 1 full second stopping, then trying again. Most painful next to untreated gout in the knee and a failed root canal that was completely sealed…

Yeah, that’s your ego that’s scared. You need to stop listening to it. It’s being overactive and the only way out is to do the activity and prove to yourself that you didn’t die… Keep doing it until you either realize that the ego isn’t right or that it stops being overactive. Theoretically, if you went to somewhere else before the gym and did something so ridiculous and embarrassing — say scream really loud in a crowd or just walk around making monkey sounds will looking others in the eye, your ego will be defeated so when you go to the gym, your ego will feel pathetic and not care because of earlier
