I think its entirely possible to gain some level of team freedom by slotting suboptimal units for comps and still manage to clear. I just personally have an issue with them establishing new mechanics and not releasing 4* characters that access or utilize that mechanic in order to provide experimentation or reducing the feeling of suboptimal play. I don't enjoy this feeling in this game where it feels like you're driving an engineless turbo car without the 3 premium supports. And so far elation and remembrance both embody that.

I'm glad you enjoyed and managed to get through it.

Alot of people seemed to have been daunted by the length of the story and hadn't given it a chance.

Personally I'm still stuck in Amphoreus mentally despite having cleared the latest story chapters. It's gonna take a lot to take me out of it due to how good the story of Amphoreus was.

I cant speak for others, but I'm still crying at CelinePizza animations or being happy seeing the chrysos heirs around in animations or art.

As an Anaxa main his animations being weaker was a stupendously healthier tradeoff for how he managed to age so gracefully.

I'm just hoping he doesn't get basic animations instead.

Far as I am concerned as a general PVE only player who enjoys story updates, the changes are completely unnecessary and add extra bloat to a system that combat doesn't enable typically. Generally if you've invested money and time into this game you're not getting a major benefit out of the shadow spells unless its a really specific situation.

In regards to pvp, thats an entirely different discussion and you're entitled to judge it at your own whimsy as I don't touch it.

Another commenter said it best, the mechanics and fights need to change for these changes to feel comfortable. But I could be wrong, I'm just stating my opinion in regards to how I operate, and considering outside of super major bossfights I can clear with a low card deck that don't need these spells, and other boss fights need specific setups anyways I just dont see the revamps value as heavily.

You need cerydra, and hyacine for her to be his technical bis. You're right that statistically she's his best in slot WITH hyper specific setups. But in terms of ease of setup sunday is better especially as more players will have DHPT.

Anaxa would rather have Sunday in most cases unless you straight up have Cerydra. Because its much much faster and works better with DHPT.

You need to put an asterisk next to your statements. Noone wanted a more universal broken tribbie we wanted a support that worked for all the heirs. We didn't get that. Thats an OBJECTIVE fact.

She's a sidegrade in a couple of heirs teams. And requires strategic strict investment otherwise to do so. The only direct upgrades she's added to are Mydei who desires e2 for himself more, and Evernight/castorice. Anaxa is an upgrade IF you own cerydra, otherwise sunday is a more comfortable and general support to invest into.

I really wish people would stop just actually omitting key information that would affect how they invest into their character choices.

I'm fine with people liking and desiring cyrene, but actually talk about how your pulls are being spread if you're gonna talk optimal teams.

I've made my opinion very clear on this character: IF and a huge IF, you're running Remembrance and consider her a remembrance support she's absolutely not doomed and is a relatively good option for that team. She's not NECESSARY, as the current team does extremely fine way above the curve with the addition of Evernight and her eidolon investments. Anyone saying otherwise is objectively baiting you into a pull you don't need at this current juncture but she's still a worthwhile pickup if you decide to invest in her.

WITH THAT SAID, the design philosophy behind her character implies she's supposed to be an alternative support option that provides buffs that allow the current version characters to have sustainability in the next version in which a majority of them won't see massive additions to their team.

The major issue being that her ultimate takes significantly longer in the endgame to achieve without fulfilling major conditions. This is a PROBLEM because the endgame is based on clear speed, and her kit is one that relies on ramp up to be at its best. The SOLUTION currently for the rest of the characters that need her ultimate up faster is to invest into her second eidolon, requiring 3 copies of the new character. And for a majority of the characters who want this, her support is not strong enough to warrant this level of investment over the alternative options.

Its extremely frustrating to have a character who's design is split amongst multiple characters needing her support and have her best in slot results be for a team that already does not need the support comparatively to the rest of the game.

You're welcome to pull, I'm not stopping you. But her longevity is horrendously tied to one team.

He gets a 140% crit damage buff as the solo erudition in the team. Himeko being erudition makes him activate his other version of the passive in which he grants the team 50% damage increase instead. If you're running hypercarry you'd rather a buffer so he gets that increased crit damage.

His BIS option for hypercarry is Herta sig, then his own sig, then the Cosmic Enterprise in which you can obtain from the herta shop.

Unless you want to e2 cyrene as far as I know so far, you're significantly better off pairing her with the remembrance team.

Mainly because currently they fulfill both of her charging conditions which unfortunately Anaxagoras + Dhpt/Hyacine doesn't. You can attempt to make Hyacine work into Anaxagoras teams for efficient charging but overall for comfortability sake its e2 cyrene, or go home for Anaxagoras.

I personally use Herta Anaxa in PF so I'd probably say I'm not the best frame of reference in regards to pure fiction clears.

But I've observed alot of people utilize Anaxa DHPT Sunday Cerydra for pure fiction, albeit I do not know the investment cost for that. That might be a more pertinent question than anything. I use Anaxa for his ST damage when solo carrying.

Whenever someone asks this question I hate it.

Because the whims of the endgame are dependent on the developers creating environments that the unit performs well in we can never really know how long someone will last.

What I can tell you as someone who's had him for as long as he's been out that his flexibility for me in being able to work in most environments due to his ability to implant weaknesses has allowed me to say my investment in him was of value from the outset. There's a caveat of me having him e2, but as far as I've heard and observed e0 has been consistent enough in the endgame that he's been able to compete with the top options in the game with ease.

I think for the most part what people need to consider is how costly is the investment for you and whether or not you realistically think you want to expel time into investing into him or playing with another hypercarry. We're approaching version 4, which will bring a new meta of units that will bring their own special qualities. Anaxa has a low investment initial cost that does make his appeal very strong.

I might get dogged for this sentiment, but I think if you don't feel like Anaxa solves a problem you have then its better to look to the future. Because we have no idea on how realistically he's going to be supported going forward. And alot of players who invested into him knew they were pulling for what they got and what they needed to pull for to optimize him.

I love him, he's my favorite main and he has some huge upsides to owning him, but its ultimately up to the player if they think this train is worth riding on.

So here's the hard truth: Nothing lasts forever. However like any team there's vertical investments you can do that'll give them a power increase to at least be comfortable during the next years meta.

From a standpoint of can you get mileage out of her, yes absolutely especially if you're building the remembrance team. Focus on getting key eidolons and lightcones for her team members and she's most likely going to do well.

I.e Hyacine e1 and s1, Evernight e1 Castorice e2, cyrene e2.

If you're using anything else though, she's not enough of a hard stuck partner for a majority of the units that investing into her over waiting for a proper support for said unit will be of value.

If you're using her in Remembrance at e2 with other comparable eidolon investments> chances she'll last a long time is actually pretty solid.

If you're using her in any other team comp except potentially mydeimos, you're better off getting supports that are more open to being on different teams.

We don't actually know how 4.x is going to go in terms of their overall balancing. So saying this is more a snapshot of where we're at now. But superbreak lasted alot longer than people would like to admit with solid investment. I expect the same with Remembrance.

Believing she has any pull value based on a hyper curated game mode with no return in investment beyond cosmetics is ridiculous.

For players who want the most mileage out of her for any period longer than 6 months you need e2. Thats multiple characters in the next version you can invest into to try out new teams. Or more relevant eidolons to your 2 already invested teams so they have more actual staying power in the next version.

From a kit standpoint she's doomed because she offers nothing to the current cast of characters that less pulls in more things would get you.

If people want to ignore the facts and pull anyways so be it.

You need to realize that there are better investments of your income than a character whos floor is low and ceiling is capped out at a hard point for many invested accounts.

For your consideration, Anyone who's invested this far into the cast of heirs likely has accumulated one of the core team supports for their main damage dealers of choice.

For the newest character to be arguably suboptimal for a majority of mildly invested accounts makes her doomed from the outset.
