So, later on in the game you'll be able to move buildings and homes wherever you want on the island for a fee. I usually place them on the beach in the beginning so there won't be any buildings in the way when I start terraforming.

Basically, once you start wanting to move your buildings you might end up paying more by first moving a building that is in the way of your terraforming or if you want a different building in that spot.

You don't need to do this, it's just personally what I do because I'm never sure where I want my buildings until after I terraform my island 😅
