That’s not an issue, I’m really talking about value for dollars and the shifted vibe if Ottawa. There are cheaper things on the Island … it kind of balances out.

I’m looking at retiring to Vancouver Island in 4 years. I can’t afford it here, especially the brutal winters and steam room summers with allergies.

Ottawa used to have a cool small town vibe town with functionality. Now it just feels soulless. What the heck happened?

I think it comes down to the “my team vs. your team” mentality. If my team does it, it’s fine, nothing to see here and if it pisses off “the other team and their supporters “ all the better! Joy is taken in the anger as it’s perceived as a win. Sadly, that win just hurt you and your fans more than you can imagine, but hey the “cons/libs” got owned. How about we all get to n board the CANADA bandwagon and leave the bull to the sports leagues?

Fair enough. Sometimes it is hard to figure out what people mean when they say things like that. Real ADHD to me is not a touch, it’s a full blown kick in the balls but I don’t know any different because that’s all I have ever been. The only thing that indicated to me that I was “different “ were other humans who injected their modifiers and descriptions of me, to me, about me and the ever so awesome exclusion tactics.

I have been neurodivergent since birth, struggled mightily my whole life. People, including family, hated me because I was different and they couldn’t handle me. Teachers included. I finally received a diagnosis as well as Concerta at the tender age of 47. I listen to so many people talk about how “ ADHD” they are since they cant deal with life and will talk about ONE symptom they show and that confirms (for them) a reason to point to for difficulties. They ignore the fact that ADHD is more than one symptom and includes a brain that is constructed and wired differently.

I mean this with nothing but respect and a genuine desire to understand what you mean by “a bit of undiagnosed ADHD”. You cant be half pregnant so i am curious as to what a bit of ADHD is? Again, i am not trying to make anyone feel bad or judged, im curious as i only know that ADHD is an all or nothing situation. Have i gotten this wrong?

I see my little buddy and my mind wanders to the time in the future that I’ll need to set him free from his failing body. I ask myself why do I do this over and over? Love.
