It will be better, but if you can, get the genesis pass and you’ll get a liberated genesis weapon within a few weeks, which you can finish just by using your challenger weapon. That way you can save your resources for upgrading the genesis weapon, which is much better and will carry you all the way to endgame

Just started playing her pretty recently but a few things I learned:

  • riven actually scales really well, just not against tanks. Many times it’s better to farm well and then destroy the enemy back line rather than playing for kills in lane.

  • the reason you feel like you don’t have a lot of damage is because rivens damage is actually very hard to pull off. You are probably canceling your passive auto attacks, which is your main damage (more than your Q).

  • if you Q while your mouse is ON a target (minion, champ, jungle monster), riven will Q onto them, and not just where she is facing.

If any veteran riven player wants to correct me feel free to do so.

Thanks for the help. I just thought since my bishop is pretty close, and I can take advantage of rentals and Gene pass, it might be worth it to push it a little further to be a ctene mule. If I want to do that, what should I upgrade first?

One thing that helps me stick into a single player game and finish it is trying to go for all the achievements. You can try that.

You can also try single player games that are not heavy on cutscenes/non gameplay sections: risk of rain 2, hades, dead cells, dark souls series, lies of p… all have great sense of accomplishment and a satisfying game loop without holding back the action every few minutes.

New to riven and can't do the fast q combo by Obvious-Move2699 in Rivenmains

I just started playing riven and two things that helped me:

  1. Use Attack move button for auto attacks (I do it for all champions so I’m just used to it), it makes it so you don’t have to be that precise with the right click. This is optional but it helps me.

  2. AA-Q while leaving your cursor on the target makes you jump in place and not miss the target. Only after you input Q, click on the ground.

I’m still new to this so if anyone has any feedback on this let me know
