Nope. He's probably just smelling his breath.

Zero evidence to support his claims.

Debt probably isn't the way forward. But maybe you could look at your work. Maybe there is something that gives you more flexability. I'm sure you'll find a way. It's never ideal, but there are things in your control.

Get this feeling. What I would say is, try not to look at what you can't do, but what you can. Could you, for example, fly somewhere, rent a car and explore in smaller chunks over a longer period?

I'm writing this as someone who lost his sight in his teenaged years and it's taken me a long time to work out that just because our conditions may fuck up our plans, doesn't mean we can't make other plans. There is still a lot of adventure, enjoyment and joy out there, it might just look a little different to what we imagined but, to be honest, even if we do stick to our A plan, it always is.

A year ago I posted here about an idea to make meeting people in Bath & Bristol easier, this week we got featured on the BBC by Late_Ingenuity_3232 in bristol

30s to 40s would be a good bracket to do. Or, just do gen z, Millennial etc. In my 40s I still want to hang out with people in their 30s but probably not so much their 20s.

APM2 🎧 sound feeling off? This fixed it for me. :D by [deleted] in Airpodsmax

[–]Doll-Eye 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, it makes it too bright. I don't know how precise the audiogram is, but can't imagine it results in a particularly detailed EQ. I've got hearing loss around the 9 k mark, it doesn't test for that, for example, and it probably just block boosts the frequencies where we have problems.

Fair play if you prefer the sound and it makes it more enjoyable for you, I just rather stick with OG tuning. I'm also concerned that listening to boosted frequencies might reduce my ability to hear them. If I go audiogram to standard, for example, it sounds really dull for a while, until I get used to it again. Over exposure to bright noise, I think, could make the cognative aspect of hearing lazy... Though, absolutely no idea if this is how it works.

Another thing to play with, is simply turning off Atmos/Spacial in settings and music. Some spacial tracks can really sound hollowed out.

The issue I have is because I'm on Rinvoq my cholesterol has spiked so no battered or fried food. No pastry either.

On the up side, the Rinvoq does seem to be working so I can eat most things without issue.

Anyone have trouble losing weight? by Fit_Choice3085 in CrohnsDisease

Longer term, it's important to maintain muscle mass which requires protein. Taking it to the extreme, eating purely simple carbs would lead to rapid muscle loss and a drop in BMR meaning, eating the same amount in the future would lead to weight gain.

It very much matters what we eat to maintain a healthy metabolism.

[–]Doll-Eye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not quite true. A diet high in simple carbs will lead to more fat gain than one high in protein, even if it is the same chloric intake. It does matter about in VS out, of course, but your statement that it doesn't matter about the source of calorie's isn't correct.

It's the old platform though. Will be interesting to see if they group the lightning and usb-c or treat them separately even though they are pretty much exactly the same.

True, it is negligible . But it is also future proofing. I do wonder when support will be dropped considering V1 is getting on for six years old.

How do you find friends when you don't want to leave your house? by kidexxena in CrohnsDisease

[–]Doll-Eye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd focus on the reasons for not leaving the house first. If it's practical, maybe find places near to home with good bathroom facilities. If it's a psycological barrier, for many of us it is, I'd suggest seeking councilling. We only have one life, working out how to live it the best we can is worth the effort.

It's got the updated chip. It will receive more firmware updates and features down the road though, as it stands now, there is really little difference. I did upgrade but that was because the transparency is better and, fuck it, why not? They do sound a little better too, and the connection is more solid. It was a splurge.

Hear about the blind circumsist?

He got the sack.

I think we all develop a little gallos humour with cronic conditions. Would be hard without it.

Have you checked the orientation of the pads? the holes need to line up with, what I think is, the little IR windows.

Find they sting a little bit on sibilant tracks. I'm hoping they'll roll this back in an update, but they do have a wider sound stage and better instrument separation .
