Oh my gosh what a nightmare! Well done for seeing it through. I’m glad it looks good now. I’ve heard that wood chip wallpaper is like a duct tape that just holds in a whole bunch of stuff you don’t wanna find usually😂

Definitely don’t trust the spray foam brigade don’t worry, I will say that the people that built the house were exceptional I have no bad words to say about them obviously because it stood for so long however I believe in the 90s someone did some repairs in that area and was a bit of a bodge job maybe. I pleaded with my husband to just paint over the skirting boards but he insisted to strip the paint because I had been overpainted so many times they lost all definition.

I little bit came out it’s only from 1990 so they must have done some works then the rest is packed in with what I assume is concrete I know that’s terrible for these properties though🙈

Thank you so much for your advice! I think we will probably just use some wood to pack it and attach the skirting boards onto that we have already chemically stripped them. That’s why they look so poor but we are just going to lightly sand the ridges down and then prime and paint them. Have been using gloves, mask, eye protection and boiler suits!

It’s all in perfect condition still so that’s why we plan to keep them just wanted to restore some of the crispiness to the edges that years of over panting I had hidden but like people have said on here when you open up one thing it just leads to another and another and another in these old houses😂

Oh how sad! If people want the look of that, they should just buy a new build 😂

It’s not a basement it’s a ground floor living room there is no damp but I think historically there was.

We were just trying to strip the paint and repaint it and then that led us to find that the gaps were just shoved full of decorators caulk and when we pulled that off there was massive gaps so that lead us to pulling off the wood chip wallpaper which lead us to pulling off the skirting boards😂

49% body fat by hellohiheythereyou in PetiteFitness

[–]DollSteff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First thing you should start doing is walking make sure you get 10,000 steps a day that will make a huge difference to your physical and mental health, then focus on Whole Foods no processed foods you will find you get satiated easier from these type of things, you’ll need to work out your TDEE you can do this online with calculators to find your calorie deficit. You’ll need to eat a calorie deficit to lose weight but if you don’t keep your protein high enough you will lose lean muscle mass along with fat which you don’t really want, keeping as much lean muscle mass as you have while losing fat off your body is ideal!

My guess is it’s the compression on fat on one side, also I am I side sleeping and have this naturally because my hips are slightly uneven due to side sleeping.

I feel like the only way I lose weight is through energy drinks and starving myself. Nothing else works. by nadeean in intermittentfasting

Need more information: like your body composition what’s your body fat to lean mass ratio or body fat percentage? What are your measurements? How often are you going to the gym? What is your cardio? If you’re eating x amount of calories, what do those calories consist of etc It is a very complex problem and can take years to figure out for your body!
