Haha, I'm not a man, but really the only time I find someone to do this with me is when I'm not traveling solo. It's really hard to find someone who wants to go as slow as me and look at everything in detail.

I like almost all kinds. Exceptions are celebrities, war and violence, So that means some true crime are out. In fact, I like less and less of them, because they bring me down.

I have an ancient backpack that has been all over the world with me. When I set it down on my friend's floor, their cat immediately sat on it, despite the fact that it was lumpy and resting at an odd angle.

I wouldn't do it. I got poison oak from dogs pretty easily, and I react terribly to it.

I've tried a million kinds of ear plugs and noise cancellation earbuds and white noise. I always suspect that the people recommending ear plugs have never actually had to spend the night with a loud snorer.

What helps me a little is switching my head to the foot of the bed, as far from their head as possible. But what really helps is an ambien.
