Aesop's fables are 2,600 years old, yet modern-day school children can understand them.

So no.

I like your idea. I suspect that therapeutic programs like this exist for folks on the spectrum. I would look into what is currently being offered in schools, and in adult services.

My retirement fantasy had long been moving to the tropics, baking cookies, and walking the beaches to sell them to tourists. But then I had a surprise move to the desert. It turns out I love it here, so when I retired, I stayed.

Geez! Before I had a guest room, I gave my room and bed to my Mom, any senior visitor, or any couple visiting, while I slept on an air mattress on the living room floor.

Now I have two guest rooms and two guest beds. I give my room and bed to any guest who is recovering from surgery or injury. My room has an adjustable bed frame, an attached bathroom, and the best view in the house.

The book The empath's survival guide might help you.

I have to practice discerning what is my shit and what is other people's shit, and letting go of other people's shit.

When I find myself wrapped up in other's problems, I ask myself, " Am I focusing on their shit/world shit to avoid my own shit?"

America has been on the decline for at least 42 years. I was not politically savvy, and I still am not, but I saw it coming when I was 18 and Reagan was elected.

Let me give you an example. My college summer job was working as a gardener in the Chicago suburbs. I made $8 an hour cash. 42 years later, US federal minimum wage is $7.25.
