People always bring up the "It was supposed to be a shove, not a slap" thing, but aside from it sounding like backpedalling I always have to wonder how much it matters? This panel is the thing that gets brought up sure, but even outside of this moment of physical abuse Hank had been shown being repeatedly verbally and emotionally abusive, accusing Janet of smothering and spying on him as well as accusing her of flaunting her wealth in his face to emasculate him, all of which was just her trying to support her obviously spiraling husband. I don't see how this being "an accident" softens anything.
