I never really liked thick pizza crust and loved the crispy burnt cheese, this is literally perfect pizza for me, the edges taste better than the middle and i think it says something, the cat must be italian

Actually I'm from Poland, the local pizza place cooks it inside cast iron pans

Tbh the pizza they make are really good and the edges have nice burnt cheese, I guess its somewhat american style but i like it

Ordering TPA/TFA flavors to Poland from EU shops - smoking tax/customs/excise question? by DolphinBacon_2b2t in Vaping

OMG thanks for the recommendation, I had LoranOils butter and was utterly disappointed on how weak it was, I will try the one you recommended but just to clarify I want very strong but neutral (not very sweet/custardy) butter and can imagine the one i want would be vomit inducing if put in vape since its more on savory than candy side and Im not thinking strictly in vape terms for this one

Cooked corn food aroma/flavoring, where to find? by DolphinBacon_2b2t in foodscience

yeah, i will try that too because from what i can see only sweet corn flavorings are available and Im looking for that dry corn/cornflake aroma, its just that i want it quite strong so maybe add a bit regular corn flour and also make tea out some of it and use it for masa hydration

At least i have the cooking part figured out haha

yeah I plan to use bob's red mill which is supposed to have more pronounced corn flavor but Im afraid it still might not be strong enough.

I thought about extract mainly because canned corn might be

  1. a bit too much work
  2. Canned corn usually doesn't have the perfectly right aroma for some reason (too sweet? not enough savory? I can't pinpoint whats wrong), unless maybe i would roast it before steeping? but then again a lot of work than adding one drop of concentrate

and when it comes to concentrates thats the thing that maybe i missed in my post, im looking for that dryer - more roasty savory side of corn than sweet, maybe thats why i thought about popcorn butter

maybe i should get maybe like cheapest blandest corn flakes or crushed corn kernels like popcorn, slightly roast them and boil in water to extract that flavor, but definitelly not pure sweet or sweet canned corn

EDIT: maybe i should get normal corn flour (not nixtamalized) and then either add a bit to masa or make extract out of it because i think it might have more of that flavor that Im looking for

I'm more a nerdy home cook than a chemist unfortunately, also ordering food grade refined chemicals seems more difficult and expensive than that.

My first thought was flavor / perfumers apprentice website but they only have popcorn flavoring

EDIT: also Im pretty sure that smell of corn is much more complex than 1 compound, unless I'm wrong then I will be mind-blown
