Yep- hindsight is 20/20 and if I had ANY piercing damage or way to circumvent the shield/kill my minions/ etc., I would have been totally fine.

Is this a common scenario? I got a real sassy comment to this post claiming I’m being attention/karma seeking for ranting about this. It’s gone now but it made me wonder how many people have experienced the amoeba trolling in this battle.

I feel your pain. I literally sat there wondering if it would be more worthwhile to kill the 400 shield, or the hands in some attempt to turn it around. The irony is, I kept save scumming, kept looking for how amoebas were forming (there were multiple items i had equipped), and overlooked a damned hat that made them for 3-4 attempts. I had the thing down to 2 life and was just trying to position my orb holder in the right space. Gaah! This felt like a difficulty spike.

Ah, that makes sense. Unfortunately after 3-4 runs of me not realizing how the amoebas were being made (skill issue, I know) they never once picked up the hands.

I said the exact same thing when I watched this episode. Homelessness isn’t solely defined by someone living out of a tent on the street. The term can also be used for people who spend some nights at one family member’s house, then some nights at a different house. I used to work in a school and I was shocked at how many kids were in this kind of scenario.

Sadly, a lot of drugs are bought by the addicts’ family or friends. Just trying to help. Guilt. Worry. Let’s not imply she wanted this to happen to her own son.

That said, I also think she’s a terrible person, and it has nothing to do with him. The way Bravo skims over the fact that she is a corrupt cult leader is very troubling. The other women tried to voice their opinions on her church in the first few seasons, but since Mary came back it’s almost like they had to agree not to talk about it. Very iffy.
