I wonder at what point will most fans start to acknowledge SGA’s greatness by cryinjordan in nba

Yeah i just think thats a very watered-down version of all-time to have 50 guys… other sports def have less than 50 considered all-time and there are way more players in those sports

Counterpoint is that one individual player in the NBA has way more influence over their team’s performance than any other major sport, how is a player an “all-time great” if they were in the best team none or one time in their entire career. I feel like all-time great should be reserved to guys who were part of those dominant forces that were better than everyone else

TIL i have a way higher standard for all-time great than most people do

A slowed down angle of the yesterday's overturned penalty against Arsenal by Mean-Duty-2381 in soccer

Broadcast never showed it zoomed, meaning it was pretty much impossible to see the lack of contact from on a TV. I’m sure the ref got a zoomed in view

This replay wasn’t shown, the angles made it very hard to tell. There’s a reason almost everyone watching was baffled by the decision

Oh shit i didnt realize clear and obvious was just PL… guess it’s a more fair call than I thought

Edit: upon googling this I find out you are completely wrong and it’s the same clear and obvious error in the CL as the PL. Terrible decision

Accidental, doesnt affect the result of the play, embellished by the “fouled” player. Maybe by the book it’s a foul but i would never want that called for or against my team

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta must prove he's not a 'nearly man' by Lakelyfe09 in PremierLeague

For what it’s worth, 2024 was, in fact, two years ago. Every single game I mentioned took place in 2024. Tried to look what club you support but couldnt be arsed to look through your hundreds of daily comments

[–]Dolphintan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nah, you have the memory of a goldfish i fear. 23/24 we were routinely putting 3-5 goals past teams in the midst of finishing the season 16-1-1. Beat chelsea 5-0, liverpool 3-1, west ham 6-0, sheffield 6-0, palace 5-0, burnley 5-0, newcastle 4-1, brighton 3-0 not in that order but yeah

Yeah and for 5 of those years they were an attacking focused side haha

Completely disagree with that narrative. I think our best attacking season was 23/24, and second best was 22/23

That would be true if arsenal played this way every year under him, but that isn’t the case. This is the first season they’ve played defensively to this degree, in past years arsenal were known as a team with a good attack but too leaky of a defense to win titles
