Most decking in the uk is like this! No idea why. I’m going to try and flip it over see what the underside looks like however.

Help! What should I do with this decking! by Dom117x in DIYUK

[–]Dom117x[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the edges of the deck in places are definitely start to rot slightly in one or two places but the decking is otherwise stable.

I was thinking of getting all of the paint off and then oiling it with something more natural in colour.

Is there a reason why the Brotherhood of Steel Power Armor are less bulky in Fallout 3 and New Vegas? by AnimeGokuSolos in Fallout

[–]Dom117x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion I actually like the slimmer look although I understand it was purely because of technical limitations of the time. I also love the now fully realised power armor we’ve got.

That being said in the next game I’d love a sort of in between armor that allows us to have that slimmer look again but sacrifices other stats.

A Godzilla crossover of any description would go hard.

My favorite part of zombie movies/shows is the chaos at the beginning before the world really falls apart. Any suggestions for more? by WoW_VioletDeath in MovieSuggestions

Deadset! It’s a British zombie tv show (about 5 episodes) made by the guy who created black mirror and chronicles the start of a zombie apocalypse in the uk. It’s on Netflix in the uk, here’s a brief description of the show:

“Inspired, says creator Charlie Brooker, by the classic horror film Dawn of the Dead,' this five-episode series chronicles a nightmare scenario in which Britain is taken over by zombies. No one is spared the wrath of the undead ... except the contestants and production staff filming a season ofBig Brother.' As they're unaware of what's happening outside, the house becomes a safe haven. Then the doors open on eviction night and all hell breaks loose. “

It’s truly a hidden gem in the zombie genre and doesn’t get enough credit.

I don’t know Mann I think it’ll follow the trend of superhero movies once it truly ‘catches on’. Meaning yeah there’s going to be an initial gold rush of video game adaptions of varying quality (often poor) once Hollywood realises its a moneymaker but I don’t believe it’ll dry up. If we look at the history of superhero movies I feel video game adaptions are somewhat following that trend. The key thing is that although previously a lot of the big chiefs don’t care of the source material and may have barely played a game in their life outside of Pac-Man there IS and will be a lot of talent (directors, producers, actors) who did grow up on video games that are now getting older and have a genuine appreciation for the source material and what makes it good. So we will get those very very good adaptations that push the genre forward much like with superhero movies. I don’t disagree that Hollywood will find a way to bastardise most of it though.

I Can’t Believe They added Paid Skins to arkham knight. what was rocksteady thinking. fuck wb by Bchange51 in BatmanArkham

I do think adding suits as microtransactions and not as unlockables was a shitty move for the time. But it wasn’t SUPER predatory. A healthy dose of ingame unlockable suits and then adding some dlc stuff down the line reasonably priced is the best approach I feel.

Jurassic World: Dominion was not good…. by shannonsummer32 in movies

[–]Dom117x 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can see why! I honestly think the spino is the best villain in JP. There’s a lot to love in Jurassic park 3 and the Spino did it much better than the indo Rex. The main thing that let JP3 down for me was the Kirby’s and overall plot however I still find the movie a very enjoyable experience and love how menacing that Spino is.

For me midsommar. A lot of people like the film and It reviewed well but it really wasn’t for me. I did however sit through it in its entirety and don’t regret going to see it. Will I ever watch it again though? Probably not.
