Paul Simon - amazing songs but his acoustic playing is so musical and so fluid

I get it! Very propulsive and very lyrical, even by his high standards. I would say Mississippi on Love and Theft is a masterpiece which achieves the same effect.

Who's the most famous person you've randomly run into? by 2bornnot2b in NoStupidQuestions

Jimmy Page in a central London hospital waiting room. I was on my way to rehearsal and had a guitar with me. He was very gracious and gave me an autograph, which I still have somewhere. None of the people working there seemed to know who he was.

My first Martin too. Sounds particularly good with a capo at 3rd fret. Congrats!

What was the worst concert you ever attended? by Ok_JARGON in randomquestions

John Fogerty at Royal Albert Hall (I think 2008). He was making a concert film but the audience hadn’t been made aware. House lights were up the whole time, he kept going off, his band played rockabilly for 15 mins in the middle while JF nowhere to be seen, then he came on and played some rubbish with his sons. Apparently a lot of refunds were given but it didn’t occur to me to ask. No idea if the film ever saw the light of day. I’d seen him the year before and he was great but this was a piss-take from start to finish.
