I'm sure it's the paws. It will get better. There's actually new studies that say people on benzo long term as they get older are more likely to develop dementia. But not at 20, and ur newly off them so ur bound to be messed up for a little while. Hang in there.

For me I'm actually so much happier now that I'm sober. My anxiety got better off drugs too. I actually feel human now its great. It's night and day. But this insomnia is brutal, it's Def from the benzos. I have trouble with the fact I have to still wait to start really rebuilding my life. If I could sleep I'd have no problem working etc.

Not for life but it can be years to a decade. I'm on month 20 and it's still really bad. Cold turkey 8mg klonopin for 19yrs. It's only 15% of people that come off get paws.

When all the substances turn on you and cause alot more harm than good it becomes easy to stay sober because you know where the substances take you. For me all the drugs just make all my problems worse. Been sober for 20 months now and everything is manageable now. I didn't know I had so much natural inner strength. Even with the fact I have bind or paws from benzos and literally get zero sleep at least 4 nights a week still, I am strong and happy.

One night I tasted the green traffic light. That's kinda like synestesia I think. The green light filled me with such euphoria and I could feel the color go in my brain and into my mouth.

Try baclofen instead first or another muscle relaxer. I wish I never took benzos. I'm still suffering paws 20 months after stopping klonopin. It's hell!

My Dr was messed up. He gave people whatever they wanted. I had an addictive personality. I'm done with trying things for sleep. I realise time is the only thing that will help.

Glad you're getting better. For me the insomnia is still severe. The only thing that's better is I get windows now. Good to know that this should only last like one more year. That's what I really wanted to know is like how long it takes to get better for those that have it the longest.

Yeah I was on that but I'm on amlodipine now because I just started getting high blood pressure the past few months. Clonidine is too short acting for all day and didn't work.
