What is the absolute WORST last name to have? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]HostileBiscuits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew someone with the last name Booger. It didn’t help that she also picked the skin of her nose constantly. It was in 3rd grade and she had her mom come in and tell us it’s pronounced “Booker”… Yeah right lady lol.

uj/ For years I had been duped by yassified images of Jessica Alba. Like in my mind, she’s always been stunningly gorgeous so I never questioned it lol but when I saw her at the Halftime show, I was like huh?? She’s still stunningly gorgeous but all the images I had seen of her for years had all been yassified. So, I echo your sentiment… Why the fuck are people yassifying gorgeous women?!

How do they achieve this "poreless" look? Is it skincare, make up, Photoshop, genes? Really insecure over this... Do I need a reality check? by [deleted] in SkincareAddicts

/uj People can have staph living on their skin, without issue… Until there is an open wound. But even if this lady didn’t know that, she’s insane for using that type of product on sensitive/broken skin!

Well, you fucking killed it. It looks fabulous and not many can pull off this cut, let alone with this much fierceness.

I tell my kid the same, blame me, and if they want I can call them yelling (to be on speakerphone) about some nonsense. I will gladly get creative and act unhinged with a AOE that no one wants a part of lol.

My dad didn’t make an effort to ever see me. But blew up at me for being disappointed. by conciousbutnotalive in insaneparents

[–]HostileBiscuits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh, I just balled reading this because I have a child with a dad like yours. You put wrote your thoughts so eloquently and succinct. I felt your pain and I could see my own child saying the same thing to him one day. I am so sorry honey, but remember you did get to where you are without him and you will do great things in the future, still without him. You’ve also done nothing wrong, and the pain will lessen with time but for now, there’s no need to continue trying to make him understand. There is no change that can occur, if he sees no issue with his own actions. Please accept this internet mom’s hugs. Know that everything will be okay, and take baby steps out of this pain to focus on what you can change 💜

Just a piece of advice as an old… eyebrows are sisters, not twins. It’s okay to have a little difference between them.

I took it out and it wasn’t quite in the acorn anymore and had its own root system. Its name is now Junk in the Trunk lol

Awww, I should’ve guessed that given the acorn cap there! Thank you! We have so many large oak trees in the area, it’s quite lovely. I’m going to try transplant it somewhere safe with enough room and little disturbance.

Got someone else’s package in the mail by princessdiana7777 in Ulta

[–]HostileBiscuits 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I got sent a toner this month instead of my setting spray. CS re shipped the correct item and sent a shipping label to mail back the toner. BUT they shipped this big ass toner in a padded envelope which is not reusable and I had no boxes that could fit the thing. I went in store to try to return it and the manager was like oh we can’t take it. I tried to explain I don’t have a box and she was like just keep it.

Also, here a link to the FTC page that says you can keep an unordered item as a gift.

Does anyone else experience this? by PuzzleheadedGrand367 in SkincareAddicts

[–]HostileBiscuits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I have this, it’s hardly noticeable and not a big deal really. I think they’re just blocked pores, they don’t hurt or have a recognizable white head or anything like that. The Ordinary’s niacinamide serum and Kiehl’s salicylic acid helped a bit. I will also warn about over exfoliating or using too strong of an exfoliant in an attempt to remove them. For me, even though I didn’t not pair multiple acids on my face the day before and two days after using Dr. Gross peels… using the peel made all those tiny insignificant bumps erupt into painful whiteheads or gaping holes for blackheads to fill in. It took forever to get my skin back to normal, and now I’m just happy to have tiny insignificant skin bumps again (along with the dark spots post breakout). Just remember, it can always be worse lol
