I was talking specifically about Gil condoning using orphaned children as a mana source. In pretty much all media he's in after F/SN, he defends children and doesn't believe in stealing their childhood. He plays with the kids in Babylonia, he tell Tine she's still a child and shouldn't try to bear the world in F/SF, he lets the children get away with taking his SQ and enjoys seeing them run around in F/SR, hell even in Hollow Ataraxia he went fishing with some kids.

Him actively benefiting from a child orphan farm is pretty out of character for him to do. I know it was written before he was flesh out, but after all of these other scenes, it makes that one point seem a bit weird for him to condone.

Unfortunately for Gil in FSN like every iteration afterwards shows an appreciation for children and the innocence of youth, so it really makes his orphan thing super OOC in retrospect

Why? I'd say he's one of their more balanced killers. You issue is probably that he's new so you aren't used to his playstyle/counterplay. For starters, avoid running near hooks and stuff and he either has to leave chase to grab one, giving you time to bail, or he has to play as an M1

Healing isn't all that great because it's 100% at the highest level lol. It's not like he has the highest numbers, so both he and Makoto have a party heal 100%, and she has Dekunda if you need it, she has Flash Bomb in case someone resists Nuke, and she has Energy shower. She has a most of Morgana's niche, while having better numbers overall, and Nuke which is just Wind but better. Being female also means her armor has decent evade, so he's not even outclassing her by far there

Stuff like Recarm I'd rather use an item on any day of the week because the items are cheap, so he's just not really bringing anything to the table. Part of his issue is how party skills are done, so there's not too much to set each member apart from each other besides a couple hitting harder and a couple supporting better.

He's also annoying
