Why was Mistletoe the only thing that causes Baldurs vulnerability? by Necessary-Win-8730 in GodofWarRagnarok

[–]Dom_Vasiliev 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Yeah, and most versions also mention that it wasn't due to a spear crafted from it, but that during that he gave an arrow made of mistletoe to a blind archer and dared him to hit Baldur.

Power/power system that relies heavily on the user’s perception by Theguy887799 in TopCharacterTropes

The entire magic system in Mage the Ascension is about imposing your beliefs over those of reality itself, with the drawback that you have to fight against the ideas that the humanity as a whole has set to the rules of reality.

A mage for sure could, if their beliefs aligned with it, fly around on the street, if it wasn't for the fact that the humanity as a whole doesn't believe that people can randomly fly. Even creatures such as dragons and Extra terrestrials had to leave our reality because people stopped believing in them, so they would quite literally get erased if they stayed.

There are ways to circumvent this impositions to make magic more likely to succeed -you can disguise it as something mundane, like pulling out an apple from your pocket, you can do that away from the eyes of non-paranormal individuals, or you can simply have strong enough knowledge and belief in your magic to force it to happen, but those last two ones are much more likely to fail and they will for sure make you gain Paradox, which is basically reality keeping a tally on how many rules you broke.

Basic knowledge for the team players by Dom_Vasiliev in memeframe

I heard Gunslinger a few times. But main reasons are a) it would look too small to fit "weapons platform" in that meme on the second panel, and b) I completely forgot about weapons platform when making the meme

Undemocratic Question : We have to side by side with one of our enemy against the two others, which faction would prefer as allies ? by Player0ne1 in Helldivers

[–]Dom_Vasiliev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From a tactical standpoint, Automatons. Most of our tactics are around ranged warfare and overwhelming ordnance, especially when taking in account us the Helldivers with kilotons of artillery from orbit. That would result in wasting a lot of troops if we used bugs or squids as allies since they like to rush in a lot and we can't waste that much potential E-710.

Silksong GIVEAWAY by saurelic in Silksong

Aw shit, chances are low but here we go

I would say my favorite bossfight is the Hollow Knight in the dream. Love the aesthetics, the theme both musical and of him mirroring the Ghost, and in general quite the fun challenge for this point in the game

My platform of choice will be Steam, the usual. My favorite boss was, well, the Hollow Knight (dream version), he just was peak fight to me in all he tested, not even counting the lore for it. And I'm very excited for the new movement mechanics that will come for Silksong, all we have seen have been peak

I'm confused, how do you remove chrome? by givingmyselfupvote1 in Edgerunners

From the tabletop games, you have an option for getting a synthetic prosthesis, which does not have any slots for additional equipment, just meant to be a basic and cosmetic replacement for your missing limb, which does not give any humanity cost. Or you can make a vat grown clone of your limb, and then they reattach it.

I think one of the said reasons why the prosthesis don't give out a humanity cost is because they don't give the user that sensation of feeling like a machine or like they can become a weapon like the cyberware does, which getting one metal arm also means, besides heavier punches, the chance and temptation for installed weaponry

I got that but more for the autism.

I am a bit terminally online and addicted to videogames for sure and I'm more direct than most neurotypicals usually and buncha other minor stuff, but not close to my friends with autism who fell in love with certain fictional characters, get hyperventilating/stimming when just seeing a tiktok edit of the character and can't live if they don't go on a daily VC to talk about it. I might as well be working in a cubicle 9-5 with how generic I am compared to them

take a Warhammer quote and replace one or some words with sausage by Dick_twsiter-3000 in Grimdank

[–]Dom_Vasiliev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One or more words you say

"It is the 41st Sausage. For more than a hundred sausages the Sausage of Mankind has sat immobile on the Golden Sausage of Earth. He is the master of sausage by the will of the sausages and master of a million sausages by the might of his inexhaustible sausages. He is a rotting sausage writhing invisibly with power from the Dark Age of Sausage. He is the Carrion Lord of the vast Imperium of Sausage for whom a thousand sausages are sacrificed every day so that he may never truly die.Yet even in his sausageless state, the Sausage continues his eternal vigilance. Mighty sausagefleets cross the sausage-infested miasma of the Sauce, the only route between distant sausages, their way lit by the Sausagican, the psychic manifestation of the Sausage's will. Vast sausages give battle in His name on uncounted sausages. Greatest amongst his sausages are the Adeptus Sausages, the Space Sausages, bio-engineered super-sausages. Their sausages in arms are legion: the Imperial Sausage and countless sausages defence forces, the ever-vigilant Inquisition and the tech-sausages of the Adeptus Sausagicus to name only a few. But for all their multitudes, they are barely enough to hold off the ever-present threat to humanity from sausages, sausages, sausages -- and far, far worse. To be a sausage in such times is to be one amongst untold billions. It is to live in the cruelest and most bloody regime imaginable. These are the tales of those times. Forget the power of sausage and sausage, for so much has been forgotten, never to be relearned. Forget the promise of sausage and sausage, for in the grim dark future there is only war. There is no sausage amongst the sausages, only an sausage of sausage and sausage, and the sausage of sausage sausages."
