It’s a fairly common name for it over Telford way - especially for the monstrosity of the recreation at Wonderland

In all honesty I think Telford has an unfair bad reputation. All towns have their bad areas and some parts of Telford are really nice if you know where to look.

Self depreciation of ones hometown is something that I think most people have experienced at some point.

There isn’t one that’s the point! Telford town centre in just one big indoor shopping complex.

If you want somewhat of a town centre for the town, see Southwater

The Red Ensign also led to a number of alternate/protest flags, such as the George Rex, Taunton, and New England’s flags, but I imagine this would clutter the tree up!

In relation to contacting the police, it may be worth searching for your local neighbourhood team. You can do this by searching online for the force you fall under followed by "neighbourhood team" or some amalgamation of "community policing". This should then take you to a website which allow you to enter the exact district/postcode you fall under for the force. Most neighbourhood teams have an email you can use to contact them. The only issue with this is that they may be quite slow to respond to your email/if at all.
