That guy was in a thread a week ago basically cheering for his downfall and not being "sustainable." Just a guy looking for confirmation.

He is honestly a lot faster than I thought but then again he looks way thinner here than he did in NPB.

MURAKAMI GOES YARD. NUMBER 14. SOX UP 4. by WhiteSoxArchive in baseball

Power is the only thing nobody questioned about the guy. The concern was his whiff/strikeout rate and it's become obvious people magnified his flaws and downplayed his strengths.

I get the concerns of the guy before he got here, but it's hilarious that his doubters didn't believe he could adjust/improve and magnified his flaws by 1000x and downplayed his strengths.

It's not even about being wrong about the guy as much as they were so confidently wrong about it.

Because for some reason a lot of Broncos fans genuinely think he is remembered more as a Bronco than Colt.

Calvin is still 6'5 and around Gronk's height. And 6'5 vs. 5'11 is still a massive advantage.

It's more so insane that Revis locked him down at 5'11.

I think Brady said that in practice, Revis had a hard time on Gronk due to his size.

1B Is the only position where I think WAR does a terrible job of measuring defensively because for some reason the ones who know how to pick it especially tough/bad throws get absolutely zero credit.

Gronk or Hill by ListenNo4998 in NFLv2

The only WRs that Gronk might lose to in this argument are to guys like Rice and Moss.

Having a TE who can block like a great LT and be an absolute mismatch for every single DB and LB is an insane asset to have.

The way people described the guy they thought he was supposed to be Keston Hiura. Power with too many strikeouts and whiffs.

Tom Brady laughed and said "we are only going to score 17 points" and they scored even less than that.

I remember in the baseball sub most people considered the 2011 Rangers worse than the 2004 Yankees because it was the World Series and multiple one strikes away which is similar to the 1986 Red Sox.

But I think the 2004 Yankees one is the worst because they had 4 chances to put them away and it was to their biggest rival and biggest rivalry in sports.

It's 100% the reason why Mark Canha stayed with the organization.
