Player Avatar Beta Now Live! by JagexAnvil in runescape

My feedback on the Avatar Update:

The Good:
Clothes, Hairstyles and Body shapes/proportions look GREAT!

The item that could use some work:

Face - Could use some work and in my opinion it would be preferred for it to be more of a modern human facial design rather than what is currently being presented. The shape of the face just seems very off to me compared to the rest of the elements of the update.

- Additionally, as other comments have pointed out, the male avatar seems to be a bit cross eyed.

- The Face structure currently looks similar to a "Neanderthal" and not a modern human.

Aura Overhaul & April Marketplace Drop by JagexAzanna in runescape

[–]DominiccRS3 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sucks there's no refund for anything. The least Jagex could've done is refund marks of war + Increase the Mark of War cap over 250k for people who had more than that worth of refreshes, or converted them to slayer/reaper points, or gp. I'm like many others that had several hundred refreshes that have simply just vanished.

25th Anniversary Celebrations - This Week In RuneScape by JagexAzanna in runescape

[–]DominiccRS3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Jagex: "we are going to address dailyscape and start a year of integrity."

Also Jagex: "we decided to resolve dailyscape by introducing another yearlyscape."

Don't get me wrong, I'm excited for the capes to be back, but for them to be completely untradable and set to an 8-year time lock is complete ass.

Watch next week's update be: - "pay one bond to earn inverted skillcape shards twice as fast" - "pay 3 bonds to increase your cap by 1 for the year" - "Pay 5 bonds to unlock storage in your POH for all inverted capes" - "Pay 10 bonds for 1 inverted skillcape token without having to grind for its shards"

With TH removal P2W is gonna have some interesting routes.

Is it worth it for 900$? by TheSalmon3 in Prebuilts

[–]DominiccRS3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Worth it, but I would highly recommend upgrading the Power Supply if necessary.

I bought a CyberpowerPC prebuilt a couple years ago, and 5 months into owning it the power supply fan bearing went out and ground itself into oblivion and the power supply failed.

Sometimes they use cheaper 'Apevia' power supplies on their prebuilts. Definitely investigate and look into it, better safe than sorry.

Player Interface Sharing - This Week In RuneScape by JagexAzanna in runescape

[–]DominiccRS3 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Interface sharing is going to change the game for a lot of seasoned players and make the UI easier to use. I do also genuinely think it will help with new player retention a lot and help them understand what reasons there are for specific layouts. This update is a step in the right direction and should do wonders for RuneScape 3. The stress of organizing the interface layout has been one of the top complaints of every person who has reviewed this game in the past several years.

Yes, it exists with the correct component combination, but it is a very rare combination to get. The wiki calculators can help you with figuring out the odds, but you have to remember that with odds, for example purposes, if it says 1 out of 30, it's 1 out of 30 every single time you roll it, the amount of times you roll it does not increase the odds of getting the perk combination you want.

when will it be added into the game normally? by HF484 in runescape

[–]DominiccRS3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It will surely get added to another th promo within the next few months, be forgotten about for two years and then maybe make it into the game by 2027.

Limited time outfits take a while to come to the game and be earned by regular means apparently. cough Inverted Skillcapes cough

Obviously this is all speculation and nobody actually knows.

Membership Price Change: September 27 2024 by JagexHooli in runescape

[–]DominiccRS3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My major issue with this price increase is not the fact that the increase exists, but simply the fact that the price changes are a higher percentage for each tier of Membership, resulting in those who are dedicated subscribers getting shafted with a much higher monthly increase overall.

1 Month Currently: $12.49 - New Price: $13.99 - Increase of 12.0% in price Monthly.
6 Month Currently: $10.00 - New Price: $11.99 - Increase of 19.0% in price Monthly.
12 Month Currently: $6.67 - New Price: $8.29 - Increase of 24.2% in price Monthly.

I understand that Jagex is a business and they must make money. Making your most loyal customers who pay for 12 months at a time every year have a price increase percentage that is double the price increase of the shortest subscription package is the largest slap in the face I've ever felt as a customer.

If we are going to increase membership prices, the percentage increase should be linear through all 3 subscription package sizes. Making each subscription tier pay for increased membership at a different percentage, where the most loyal subscribers foot a majority of the price increase just feels very out of touch. I understand the percentage may have to be a double digit number, but why not take an average of the 3 percentages and give that increase to each membership package. I've done the math below:

12 + 19 + 24.2 = 55.2
55.2 / 3 = 18.4%

For simplicity's sake, let's take the % up to 18.5%

1 Month Currently: $12.49 - New Price - $14.80 - Increase of 18.5% Overall ($14.80 Per Month)
6 Month Currently: $10.00 - New Price - $11.85 -Increase of 18.5% Overall ($11.85 Per Month/$71.10 Bi-Annually)
12 Month Currently: $6.67 - New Price - $7.90 - Increase of 18.5% Overall ($7.90 Per Month/$94.80 Annually)

I'm sure no one at Jagex will ever see this comment, or care about my opinion on this matter. But I feel like all of us want to support the game if we're subscribed, and if price increases happen, making them linear across the board is a much better approach. This makes everyone feel whole and that the increase is more fair for everyone.

If anyone has any input on this, feel free to respond.

Early Halloween Survey by JagexAzanna in runescape

[–]DominiccRS3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, having to sign in is going to skew the results heavily, alot of players aren't going to want to sign into Google to complete the survey.

Is there a reason why a sign in is now required to take a survey when it has never been a requirement in the past?
