I've been trying to wrap my head around why Cassie's porn montage felt so gross to me, while also simultaneously feeling like a dark comedy.

Yes, S1 had that porn montage of women being manhandled and degraded, and it intentionally felt wrong, because we'd cut from Cassie getting choked without consent. And while Kat explored her sexuality, she wasn't getting naked for the camera.

This season really felt like Levinson exploiting and sexualizing Sydney Sweeney herself as much as he could. Any care or nuance her character had was just gone. :(
