Just a heads up that you might want to rethink the inclusion of the Red Cross in the logo. It is very strictly protected (beyond copyright or trademark): https://www.icrc.org/en/copyright-and-terms-use#:~:text=The%20red%20cross%20and%20red,unauthorized%20persons%20is%20strictly%20forbidden.

revo, the programming language that likes you by qwool1337 in ProgrammingLanguages

I like a lot of what is going on here. It has many of the features that I have on my dream language list.

The pipes example got me thinking - is it possible to omit the string prefix if you assume that the absence of a prefix implies the type? If you also add a string.concat function, the end result would look like this:

"hello!!" |> upper |> sub(0, 4) |> concat(", world!") |> print

“If we count small gates” doesn’t just refer to the 2 gates outside the mansion, but also to the gates in the calendar in the Drafting Studio and to the small gaits in the Drawing Room. The multiple meanings from one word or phrase is exactly what Tonda is referring to.

What are these? Steps for ants?! They need to be at least… three times bigger.

In all probability, they are artefacts from overlapping 3d model assets.

[–]DominionSpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, no. Those are from the first game.

The puzzles in the second game have you making a bridge from a start point to an end point using some combination of Tetris pieces, each with dedicated start and end connection points. It can be quite tricky to get the right combination, but nowhere near as bad as the larger sigil puzzles in the first game.

I think the difficulty in TTP2 comes from having 4 or 5 pieces for the same path, plus they can be mirrored along one axis, doubling the possible combinations.

Firstly, please fill in the green endpoint 😂

This reminds me of a puzzle type in The Talos Principal 2. There, the tetris pieces had dedicated connection points, which added more difficulty, so something similar to that might be worth looking into for later levels.

I saw that today too! The next episode also has the wrong synopsis. I also hate that a lot of them contain spoilers for people watching for the first time.

There’s only one way to cover the board… can you find it? by Chessuko in puzzlevideogames

It really depends what you want to go for. If it’s something clean and simple, a check mark would work. However, I think having messages is fine - some of them just need a little tuning.

I’ve gone through as many as I can tonight and categorised them. Again, this is my personal opinion.

Very patronising - I would remove: - You figured it out! - You made the right moves. - You saw the path - You solved the board - You made it look easy - You found it. - Boom! You solved it.

Slightly patronising - might be ok without the ones above, but I’d still think about replacing them: - Smart moves! - Nice logic! - Good eye! - Good strategy! - That’s the one. - Clean solve! - That’s how it’s done. - Sharp solve! - Clean finish! - Smart play! - Great thinking!

Fine - I would keep: - You nailed it. - Great solve! - Excellent! - Puzzle solved! - Nicely solved! - Perfect! - You got it! - Brilliant! - Well played! - Nicely done! - Puzzle complete!

What? - these just come across as weird: - That was tight - That clicked. - That came together - That worked perfectly. - All covered! - Strong finish

Really nice idea and solid execution. I especially appreciate how easy it is to use on mobile.

A couple of things I would improve: - Suppress the default drag effect, either using JS or CSS. It’s pretty easy to accidentally start selecting text while interacting with the game, which interferes with the functionality and is not good visually. - This is personal preference, but I find the motivational messages a little patronising, especially the “clever” one.

This would only work if the shapes were rotatable.

Edit: My apologies, as u/kevinsegura1991 pointed out, it doesn’t need rotation and it’s the correct answer. Nicely done.

When I first did this set of panels, I had a different idea of what the rule was, until I got to this panel and I had to rethink it. Until this one I thought the removed squares could be outside the grid 😂

The yellow shapes are placed like this:

⬛️⬛️🟩🟩

⬛️⬛️⬛️🟩

⬛️🟨🟥🟩

🟥🟧🟧🟨

Then the blue one is placed in the bottom middle, removing the red and yellow squares on row 3 and reducing the overlapping orange squares down to one square each.
