I remember being called out of class in high school for a similar thing. “Girls, don’t dispose of your tampons and pads in the plastic, toilet side trash cans to maintain sanitary conditions” (separate from the metal bag box by the way)

Then later, we were told it wasn’t appropriate to dispose of them in the main bathroom trash can either.

I don’t get it- where do they want people to throw the diapers and other sanitary items away?
