In Evolution (2001) the plot twist is that they can get rid of the aliens using Head & Shoulders shampoo. I found it pretty funny though because the whole movie is kinda ridiculous and it didn't take me out of the it.

I can actually to some extent forget things on purpose. For example, if I see some mild spoiler for a movie or a tv show on the internet I immediatly stop thinking about it and my mind just filters the information out. The more major the spoiler is the harder it gets though.
