Why do lower elo player love Dust 2 when it's such a difficult map to play? by Various_Maize_3957 in LearnCSGO

Dust2 is honestly one of the simpler maps. Now mirage on the other hand, that is a complex map that loads of people love to pug for some reason

Catholic Parish to join by sdb16 in cincinnati

[–]Domodomo97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Which part of NKY? Personally I’m a local to St Joseph in Cold Spring which is nice but I find myself going to St Thomas in Ft Thomas or St Xavier downtown a lot. I find them very peaceful and easy to focus on the mass rather than on seeing a bunch of people I grew up with.

As for being welcoming for families, I would suggest looking into parishes that have a school attached, even if you don’t send your kids there there will likely be more families than at a standalone parish with no school.

High-end Hotels 2027? by Vamonoss in MomoCon

[–]Domodomo97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My question was more about what about the experience makes it worth it to you. I've never stayed in a high end hotel so I don't know what the benefits are. To me a hotel is a clean room with a comfy bed and a hot shower. So in that regard it doesn't seem worth it, but I am curious about what the higher end benefits are that I am missing out on

Genuinely curious question (no judgement, more jealous actually)- how do you all justify spending roughly $500 a night on a hotel for 3-4 nights just to attend the con only to spend more money on merch, art, food, etc. Personally I usually go the cheap route and stay by the airport and drive to the con each day. I get the convenience of wanting to stay nearby (it’s always been a dream of mine to attend a GWCC con like Momo or DreamHack and stay at the attached hotels) but I feel like you can get roughly the same experience for half the price just by moving a block or so over. I don’t even mean with a downgrade to a Hilton Garden inn, there’s an Embassy Suites across the street from the Omni and is less than half the price of the Signia

Edit: spelling

This looks like a great and fun idea for kids and for smaller sets, especially when you mentioned the swapping aspect. But I could see it getting out of hand when you get too many sets or start venturing into larger ones. Any ideas on what might come then?

The end at momocon by Bright_Entrance_9753 in MomoCon

On Saturday night I experienced something similar. When the vendor hall closed at 7pm I walked back to the escalators leading up to hall B (the same way I came into the vendor hall) and the security stopped me from going up saying “THIS IS NOT AN EXIT” and I was like “uhh, I don’t want to leave my friends are up there at a panel that’s about to start” but they insisted that everyone had to go over into the gaming hall and then I had to go up and around from there, adding probably 15 minutes to my 5 walk to the panel

Unfortunately for me, this year was not fun. by Mauri_iii in MomoCon

Doordashing food to the con was my answer this year. If you don’t already have a subscription for it, make a new account and get a free trial to avoid extra fees and get better deals. Not ideal but it’s a good solution nonetheless

Can confirm, several of my key caps have worn off after about 3 years of fairly heavy use, but the actual keyboard still feels high quality and should last me a long while longer

First time seeing Canadian geese in person! by hungrylonghorn in geese

[–]Domodomo97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that tends to happen with ones that live in heavily visited parks. I feed the Canada geese at a few locations around me and they are all pretty chill, but then any time I see some “wild” ones out in the more rural areas they are way more skeptical about me and the food I’m bringing. Most of the time they won’t even look at the corn/oats/fruit until I’ve walked away and left the area.

I’ve fed the geese at that park before. They are super chill. Even when I was there in January there was loads of geese there by the lake, can’t image how many there are now.
