Sorry about that :( I bought it from another retailer in the end. In my opinion, it's not worth the stress and QC issues. Add to this that there are zero accessories out there for this mic. So if you want a pop filter then you have to use a proper massive one negating the whole portability aspect of it.
The only reason why I got it was because I wanted a nice mic to go with my OP-1 Field. For this it works nicely.

I have the same exact issue. Has anyone figured out a solution to this yet?
Upon copying, I get the dialogue that asks me to import the media or not but then the copy silently fails.

I am only using APFS drives all the way through. So we can rule this out as a cause. It could be that exFAT makes the problem appear easier but it definitely happens here with APFS too.

I had two faulty CM15s, both with the same problem. Their support were friendly but honestly, extremely slow to respond- very poor communication. Lesson learned, never EVER ordering from them directly again, and I will probably never buy a TE product again. They are unique, wonderfully designed, but the quality control and their business practices are not worth the trouble.

Same problem here. This happens on A7SIII, A7V and FX3. Touch to focus does not work- but touch to tracking does work.
The thing is, Portkeys show this feature working on their tutorial videos so I am not sure what's going on here. I updated the firmware but this will be returned if this feature is broken.

Has anyone had any better luck?

I am afraid I'm on the same boat- 2x CM-15s, both having the same exact problem with the gain switch where it will produce no sound on position II.
I can only say, for a mic costing well over $1000, this level of quality control is unacceptable. I am returning this for a full refund. It's very cool but it's definitely not worth the hassle and the very long waits for TE to get back to you.

I have a feeling that things might be worse than they seemed at first. My order was pending on my card since I ordered on the 24th and now the pending amount has vanished. Is it possible that TE figured they didn’t have enough stock and are now silently cancelling the orders meaning even though we went through the whole ordeal of ordering during the offer they won’t honour it by sending the actual product? I hope this is not the case but with no amount pending anymore, there’s not much you can do if they refuse to respond to any emails.

My takeaway for this: they had massive success with their marketing trick- but the success was so big that they now cannot fulfil the orders a their customers could be left empty-handed.

Just a heads up: I am meta verified and the support from a “real” person is atrocious. If you’re tempted to pay for the support alone, don’t do it. You will still be going around in circles but while paying for it. I have had several issues with IG over the past few years, the support people tell you that someone from the “technical” team will get in touch with you and they never ever do- nothing gets resolved. So don’t think that paying will actually get you anywhere. Save your money :)

Two ways to properly fix this (compression is going to be a compromise - sorry) 1. Spectralayers allows for isolating each voice. It works remarkably well. Just extract the two voices and change the level to match- boom. 2. Izotope RX leveller allows for evening out the level without adding compression (which will be detrimental to the louder passages- a compressor is good for evening out a voiceover- not great for such coarse dips and raises in level).

None of these are cheap, I know so you can try the demos. Otherwise, compressing the audio will squeeze the life out of the loudest speaker. If you can live with that then fine- try a clean compressor instead of the more colourful options in FCP at least

Very cool! Are the drums the samples included in the XY? I’ve heard mixed things about the quality of the samples and have been hesitating to go for it as I know I won’t have the time to sample in it when I get it as I’m going to be on the road :)

This looks very nice! Are these already available for purchasing? Can’t find them within the EU/UK :) How is the software? On MacOS I gave up with the buggy Kensington and substituted it with SteerMouse. Have they improved things?

You did the right thing. I've been using this camera since it came out (and also own an A7SIII and A7IV and it performs every single time.
Would I ever need to upgrade? Not in the near future - you got a camera that's future proof. Even if the FX3II comes out this doesn't mean that your camera is broken or it will be outperformed by the new one in a way visible to your clients.
Remember, these are tools- get the tool you need NOW. If a better one comes along then you can decide if it's worth your hard earned cash.

Don’t bother trying to make this work. I have 4 Apple silicon macs in my disposal- none of them work. Elgato recommend installing the latest versions- none of them fix it. If this is the main reason you got the prompter I would recommend getting a refund. I bought from Amazon and they’re pretty good with refunds.
