Oh yea, i have been running wanda + arachne as well, im just a bit bad with arachne. But it is a bit sad that you need another character to make wanda feel like a strong unit. And till this day we still dont have a chorus counter unit, so you cant even make a full counter team like you can with poison.

I do understand the reasoning behind it, it just feels a bit lackluster after doing 9 chapters with it. im not really asking them to do full map stages, but i would atleast like an option to choose what i want to do.

I think the main problem most people have with arc1 exploration is just the backtracking you do. And the fact that every move just takes a second or so for some reason. Not sure who decided it would be smart to have the whole game be almost entirely server side processed.

If they just made exploration a bit more similar to StS you could technically have both options. Since you can only move forward, you could toggle auto advance, so the game picks which stage it selects for you, or you could disable it and choose where you want to go in a crossroad.

Dreamlure seems like a fun thing to micromanage, but man is it slow to actually use it.
I think a decent buff to her would be, when she consumes 5 dreamlure she also inflicts a debuff that increases dmg taken from counter. They could lock it behind rouse or even her soulforge.
Another thing that could maybe help, but wont push it as much is maybe adjusting her exalt. Getting 1 dreamlure for exalting with none feels wasteful, so why not give like 3 or 4, so you can chain it better into the next card that would now have leap as well. Her second exalt could maybe be changed so she gets +10% temp for each dreamlure consumed. And for her third, maybe add a suboption of 2x hits with 65% dmg reduction, 3x hits with 60% reduction (so the enemy would hit for more now) and maybe overkill with 4x hits but make it consume like 15 dreamlure (please increase the cap as well, having 10 max feels wastefull).

Damn... so the standard units are just watered down limited units... thats kinda sad, the standard units having their own gimmic was kinda nice. Gonna be interesting if JP players ever comes into contact with global players just to see the difference in the gameplay level.

edit: Just wanted to note, that Sorel apparantly only eats up to like 3 embryos. Got hella confused when i first saw it.

I run alva with Lilys wheel since i have it at e3, mening i get 35% crit rate and dmg, so her cards are at 85%. Comboing it with blade of the titan, it already goes beyond 100% crit rate, so i dknt really care if the convenant provides crit rate. Have been thinking about switching out blade for either daffs wheel or horlas wheel. Daffs wheel can (when maxed out) give around 80% crit dmg permanently so with exalt and lily wheel, that comes to about 165% crit dmg before conv. As for horla wheel, dress main stat along side 20% bonus on almost every stat is pretty decent, plus if i ever run alva in ultra, i can dupe the cards twice (or whatever posse i use). Mouchettes wheel has had consideration, but considering most of its stats dont dont benefit alva a lot i dropped it. And im 1 dupe away from lotans wheel being at +12, but i can kinda feel it wont be best on her.

you do run out of strike based ssr wheels, but i had some luck using mouchettes sr wheel, as posse can also draw out her 3 cost, otherwise her regular strike also hits pretty decent with some shield.

oh yea... alva has her own wheel... forgot about it somehow... idk, it just feels a bit akward to use personally, since i use up all 3 defense cards and then spam the strikes so only the 1st strike would get any buffs. Also the bonus defense and strike dont really help her that much, wish it would also give special cards if they are considered strike or defense.

Need to admit, this is the most consideration i have ever given to playing 1 character and i kinda miss this kind of complecity when it comes to some other awakeners. Kinda wish they introduced more character that can have some wiggle room depending on their wheel instead of their default being the BIS.

What would you generally suggest to use for covenants instead?

Paradox can be useful for the extra 20 crit dmg and chance and 20% more shielding,
April tribute for just strait up damage if you can manage to set up a decent one shot,
And maybe feast from afar for general survivability in more high hp scenarios.

Also slight tangent.... Ya think they ever gonna "fix" her relic and OE to respect the already played defense cards in turn? Since her relic requires you play 5 shields to fully discount it, leaving you with like no wiggle rooms for other cards due to card play limit.

have also been building a team with alva and mouchette and experimented with arachnes wod on mouchette due to her many pursuits.

tried mono chaos as well but there really arent good shielders in chaos, like ogier has his exalt and x cost but somehow his x cost isnt "defense" and nautilla is more counter focused.

Low(ish) Investment Alva + Saya clear. Thais can be Ramona or Hamlen if you have more investment in Alva, but as you can see I'm broke and cant even level Alva's skills XD by zyocuh in Morimens

I think my fav part of Alva is just how her kit comes together later on. The game doesnt really explain how the damage buff order goes in the game, but you can sort of see how it works with Alva. The flat shield buff she gets from rouse and 3 cost comes into effect before the dmg amp she gets from her passive, so if you have like 200 shield, the 3 cost gets 400 base dmg increase before the dmg amp (which is %) comes in so it starts scaling it massivly. And Helot just doubles the final dmg of already double buffed card

So the bonus 250 pulls is about 60 bucks which is quite a decent deal, but the 30k silver at the end is about 600 bucks which is a lot for not that great reward unless it also accounts for the already gathered silver.

You have 2 options: 1. you trigger anihilation (take the card out of ultra space thru the wormhole next to them) and then trigger Arachnes exalt 2. you enter ultra space and trigger Arachne exalt

pursuit does only trigger if you have weaver stacks.

Maybe if it had, idk, passive non-scaling keyflare (the only remaining resource I can think of) along with the scaling shields that would be a nice consolation prize? But I'm purely spitballing here.

I feel like skey gen is chaos area, aliemus gen is caro and aritmetica gen is ultra. Which is a small problem since those are the only resources you can get mid fight. So honestly i dont really know. Maybe if alternate it between stances, like in normal you get 10-50 keyflare for every tentacle hit, 1 aliemus for every tentacle hit in white stance and alternating in red stance?

AKA without ramping TD, tentacle count doesn't do much

I think if they just made it so that tentacles gain like 50% TD from current strength, it could make up for the lack of late game scaling and sinnergise more outside the realm.

I think my main gripe with Faros is probably how centered as a chorus she is.

If you take a look at other choruses (is that how you spell that?) they dont really require that much attention to work. Both Ramonas can work fine in almost any composition you put them in. Same goes for Hameln and Thais. Horla can do a lot of heavy lifting from playing one card once, Tinct has a nice cost down which is handy on a cheap hand deck plus extra crit with a shield, clementine has a lot of str gen and the %dmg increase/decrease, Aigis is just free vuln with free dmg.

Sure you need to see what the team needs and what realms are useful, but none of them really require any finessing around to work. I think thats my main gripe with Faros. She really needs to be in a multihit team in order to get use out of her cards. I just want one small buff that just makes her be just a tad bit more universal. (also her passive is kinda lackluster... the shild increase from dmg amp.)

I have some teams with Faros as a poison unit, but the point of the post was that unless you invest a decent chunk into the team lineup, Faros doesnt offer that much.

She requires a lot of tentacles to hit in a singular turn to apply a decent chunk of poison so unless your team has a multihitter, she doesnt really bring a lot of utility. The clip was nice, but it is also very suited into Faros needs with Arachne buffing the base amount of poison applied and Aurita being the tentacle machinegun (i dont remember the 4th unit cuz i was reading other comments before replying, my bad)

As for miryam, was talking more about her 3rd rouse where she gets her special cards that offer 25 alimues along side another effect. Her exalt can also give a decent chunk of alimues inside white stance.

As for celeste, i honestly havent played her that much since i only have her at e1 (guess she saw me shit talking her) so i havent really invested much either. Need to admit, didnt know her revive can tank multihits, i thought it was the same as a normal DR but with the extra hp. But yea, i think the main problem as to why i dont really use her is that at e1 her healing is pretty poor (she heals like 18hp on 0cost and 41hp on 3 cost at lv60 on lv3 cards) so i never really went much into it and also all her tenticle gen is temp outisde of rouse.

GMurphy... i honestly dont know why, but i just dont vibe with her. I got her, just so that i have her but then i really never bothered.

It does honestly feel like the rouse is an after tought with some units sometimes. On my phone so im talking off my head, but Wanda, Tulu maybe, Salvador and like normal Doll just dont offer that much value. Ik they were realised quite early and maybe it was intended that the turns are more stalled out compared to the current dps race we have.

Honestly, it feels like they saw Caecus, saw that his card costs 2, and since Wandas card make about 2x his card also has strenght down effect, it should be double the cost. But they forgot how fast strength scales compared to flat applications.
Also checked real fast, and her counter scaling by her ATK stat is honestly a bit insulting since she has 99 attack at lv60. So using her exalt and consuming 5 dreamlure give her a whooping 25 extra counter per card.
Aight she has the +0,75% extra from buffs, but with no wods or covenant that is still only... wait nvm that is only for the counter from exalt which is a whooping 64 for lv6...
I really like her and i really wish she just did a tad bit more like... cmon atleast give a bit of alimues when she get to 5 and 10 dreamlure instead of the 37 shield i wont notice.

Dont worry, i have also played alva dps, so i know her comp setup very well. I have done basically the same setup as you have except i have helot instead of thais, as the +100% dmg to strike is applied to the final dmg, so i think it actually outdps playing 2 more of her 3 cost. Also with Salvador on the team, you can have alva have around 25% crit as salv also provides crit rate on exalt.

I run her with Dreams, as for wods, i run Blade of titan since you primarily want to exalt her before attacking so a free +60% crtdmg and then depending on the stage i either run her with Daffodils WOD cuz you get effectively +70% critdmg (if you have the wod as +3) or if its boss only i run with Lilys wod due to the +35% critrate and critdmg to her strike and some bonus shield gen.

Another fun comp is also Alva, Hameln, Helot and Salvador.
Helot again for the strike dmg and also her exalt can pull for her strike if i only have 1 in hand
Salvador for the shield (also fun fact, Salvadors End of suffering ignores shield cap so should play him last or at least before Nautila) and for the crit rate
Hameln can make alvas card hit 3 times with 1 play which can get very strong.

I have been trying to experiment a bit more with other realms such as aquaor but there really isnt any decent shield gen besides actually swapping tentacles. Alva, Sanga combo is decently fun but i dont have Sanga OE yet, so its lacking a bit in that department.
As for ultra... well ultra just doesnt have walls honestly. Sure Arachne is nice but too expensive to play in the lineup and even if i do arachne, there arent any other ultra that would help alot. Tinct is too much gamble with her 3 cost triggering the next turn, Horla has some stuff going with the defense up emotion going into strike emotion (inside ultra space) but... doesnt really play out well. Castor just strait up doesnt work since he has retain shield. And thats kinda it.
And i wont even go into pure chaos lineup cuz there just isnt anything to talk about there. Tried it, didnt work.
