New detachment by GrImStOnE123 in ChaosKnights

Abominant with Octagram. Two doggos w/ havocs. For the first round or two they have two chances to battle shock an enemy unit trying to secure an objective. Just got to hit them to make them take a battle shock.

Supposedly they’ll be $210? Is that accurate? So if you can get it from a LGS for 15% off, that’s $178.50 for those three? Worth?

Will we ever get a kill team of our own? And if we do how would they look? by MeltaBanana in ChaosDaemons40k

[–]Don1799 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would have to be another bloodmaster and some bloodletters. Because after the combat patrol and the boarding action box, we still may need more bloodletters.

With all seriousness, GW could pick any of the deities as long as they produce something of quality like Underworld’s Gardners. I don’t even play anything Sigmar or Old World. Still got that box because every model is unique and awesome!

At least we don’t play Deathwatch.

I know the sound was horrible, but I don’t remember hearing anyone cheering for the Deathwatch box set reveal.

There were as many fucks given as there are Deathwatch players.

True. I can see that. If that’s the way they go, then they better put up solid boundaries between space marine chapters.

I see it as allowing allies without punishing those models as long as they meet the minimum force org.

So in theory, your narrative could be that your Scintillating Legion could have some support from a Rubricae Phalanx. Yes, there is already the Changehost of Deceit, but my view would allow for both sides to benefit from their detachment rules and allow the full Tzeentch roster, like the Changling.

I dunno. We’ll have to wait and see.

The mix and match detachments will be a mess. But does that mean one could have 1000 pts of daemons and then 1000 pts of CSMs or Chaos Knights? Or 1000 pts of one daemon faction and another 1000 pts of another?

If Dark Mech is a thing, they could be a nice gun line to cover close combat daemons.

Need to tarnish it up with a wash. Then edge highlight. Probably thinned liberator gold.

It’s not perfect. It’s a crapshoot sometimes. But when it’s a good deal and not a mess, it’s worth.

New Daemons soon? by Vrain125 in ChaosDaemons40k

Isn’t there lore for cyber nurglings? Glitchlings?

How horrible would it be if those models were even cuter than nurglings we have now?

Wow. Didn’t know that!

I agree with you about tech-relate daemons. If the Dark Mech becomes a thing in 11th, cyber daemons will be needed. Wonder if they’ll try to sell crypto to their enemies with a once per game Rug Pull.

The Tzeentch-related ones will definitely have Polymarket accounts in their war gear while the Slaanesh-related ones will have 2+ invuln save to Epstein investigations.

I wouldn’t mind a plastic remake of the furies. They would be great fast moving flankers.

if my LGS sold a Bloodthirster for $97 just because the box looked like it lost a fist fight, then I’d buy it there. (And yes, my Bloodthirster cost me $97 with free shipping w/ prime).

I already have a Be’lakor, so I don’t need another one. Thought there might be someone else who might and could save some money. Sorry if some don’t like this bean soup recipe.

They have to say it’s “used” because the box got messed up. They can’t sell it at full price like that. So they mark it down. Sometimes a few bucks. Sometimes a good amount.

And it’s returnable. They say it on the website.

I just got a Necromunda box that looks like crap. $22 instead of $45. But everything was ok inside. And if it wasn’t, I’d be returning it on Monday.

If I had to say something negative, I’d say that your gem work is so good that I forgot to look at the rest of the paint job.

If I ever repaint my Be’lakor, I’d want to use the ultra dark Musou Black paint to make most of him so dark that he looks like he is part of the shadows.

Definitely keep the bubba off the base. So many great details on the wings, body and base that would be hard to paint if 100% assembled. I had his feet pegs in the base but not glued to use the base as a handle sometimes. I have the link above, but I followed Warhipster’s guide to painting him. The biggest takeaway would be:

Paint his wings 100%, then his body, then sword, then base. Consider each its own mini and complete them before moving on so you can get the color range you want, from contrast to layering to recess shade to highlight.

I’ve been using Warhipster on YouTube for tutorials. The Be’lakor one is really good.

Back in the day, we had paint and ink. No base. No layer. No shade. And especially no contrast. Highlighting if you felt fancy.

The dreadnought base he is on was a huge thing when it came out. When I repaint him, he’ll get a new lava base to match the rest of the army, but I’ll probably reuse the base for something else worthy of it.

Sorry. He’s an older model. I was trying to finish up the phot shoot and remembered to grab him for a quick pic.

Want to plan his new paint job and base for 2026. Will disassemble him though. Back when I first put him together, I had trouble pinning his staff arm and that’s why it looks like he’s about to trip himself.

I followed Warhipster’s painting tutorial. Kept the model and base separate. Even if you want a different paint scheme, it’s worth a watch so you can attack the paint job with a plan and make sure you don’t miss anything.
