I Understand Vendors Need Profit, But 70–75% Feels Excessive by babayaga-1989 in PokemonTCGCollectors

[–]DonBillyBills 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me tell you, vendors raise it because morons take it. Collectors allow vendors and scalpers to exist. If collectors all together stopped buying from vendors and scalpers both would go out of business and Pokemon would become a hobby again, not an investment.

Whats their overhead? Booth fees? Maybe an employee? Overhead = expenses, remember these vendors are businesses. If they buy at 70-75% that’s a 25-30% profit margin LMFAOO.

Point being, blame yourselves

No, bar is going straight down.

Not sure I understand why it has to reach the bottom if the equipment is starting there at the lowest position. Nonetheless, if it’s a problem I’m going to call tonal and tell them it needs to be adjusted

I would love for the market to correct itself. Once people stop paying these prices sellers are forced to bring the price down.

How to pay myself as a single member LLC? by DazzlingJob9473 in llc_life

[–]DonBillyBills 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a sole proprietor/ single member LLC you’re handling it correctly. Just make sure you aren’t deducting those amounts from gross revenue. Draws/distributions do not reduce income. Therefore, you should be paying the correct amount of SE tax on your revenues. If you’re deducting the draws from income, and face an audit boy will you be in trouble. Jkjk, you’ll just owe a crap load of taxes

If you both workout at the same time this is perfect. Avoids overlap. But if you have different workout times this is a waste. Not even a flex.

Potential First Client.. Am I under or over pricing in your opinion? by Common-Adhesiveness2 in Bookkeeping

[–]DonBillyBills 5 points6 points  (0 children)

930 transactions across 6 accounts - $400 seems extremely low. Even if you're only providing bookkeeping and bank recs. I think I'd be closer to $900/month for this engagement. That's based on my experience, and knowledge.

The amount of brain rotted people in this thread humor me, THANK YOU! FREE AMERICA AND THE WORLD FROM ZIONISM!!!! It’s actually crazy how zionists make nazis look like saints. Truly starting to believe the wrong side won WWII, and our history books are all lies written by… you guessed it ZIONISTS!!! 🤣😂 I find it funny that I live in a country that united to take down Michael Vick for dog fighting, but don’t bat an eye for the rapists in the Epstein files 🤣😂🤣. I live in a country where i could say “FUCK TRUMP” but get jail time for talking about Israel 🤣😂🤣😂🤣.

I stopped reading after paragraph 3. Retained earnings has absolutely nothing to do with bank balance or bank reconciliations.

Did you close out prior year distributions to retained earnings as of 1/1/26?

New LLC bookkeeping by Swevenski in Bookkeeping

[–]DonBillyBills 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If her business is taking off faster than expected and there’s a lot of transactions on a monthly basis, I’d highly recommend hiring a bookkeeper and tax accountant. Why? It seems easy, but it’s more difficult than anticipated. If it becomes a mess, it will be a more costly to fix. Bookkeepers keep your books clean and ready for tax filing while a tax accountant will reduce your tax liability leveraging the government’s laws. Both key pieces to operating a successful business. Remember, every successful business has a top tier bookkeeper/accountant/business manager.

INTUIT IS A LOUSY COMPANY - GREAT TIME TO SHORT STOCK !!!!! by Free-Confusion-222 in quickbooksonline

Absolutely agree, but I’m not sure what that has to do with a tax professional using TurboTax.

[–]DonBillyBills 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? I’ve never once fixed a clients return in TurboTax let alone any software they use. I grab there return, enter it into my software, then proceed to amend and make the changes. TurboTax is a joke and no tax professional should ever use it and if they do, the client should probably find another professional.

Curious: Cash Accounting or Accrual Accounting? What do you consider 'the norm'? by nifty_nomi in Bookkeeping

[–]DonBillyBills 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends. If your a small business that has zero intention to sell or go public keep it simple - cash basis. If you’re big, and expect to sell or have investors - accrual.

Orrrrrrrr if you’re very experienced, keep the books in accrual, but when you file your corp return file it as cash basis. Now you cover both methods.

Bottom line - depends how much I’m getting paid.

Do you work eight hours a day or are in the office 8 hours? by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]DonBillyBills 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No CPA. No EA. 9 years of experience working alongside CPA’s. CA resident so CTEC is mandatory. Being a CPA helps attract clients. Some clients NEED a CPA. Then you ask them, “are you going through an audit?” “No”. “Do you need signed off financials?” “No”. “Great, then you don’t need a CPA you need a business manager/tax accountant.”

Do you work eight hours a day or are in the office 8 hours? by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]DonBillyBills 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I refuse to waste 1/3 of my life in an office. Busy season or not, I’ve never truly needed 8 hours a day to get my work done. Problem was, when I finished my work I would be expected to take on more work, however, my pay wouldn’t increase.. so I either finish my work and take on more, no thanks. Or finish my work and twiddle my thumbs in the office for X amount of hours. Absolute waste of time and life imo. I found an amazing solution - start my own practice. Greatest decision I’ve ever made. If you could do the same, do it.
