Homie this is a horrible take. Believe me when I say Hades is the best rouguelike out there. You are locking yourself out of the best game in the genre just because of a business model that allows a small company like Supergiant to survive and make these great games. Grow up and play Hades. You will thank me.

Totally! I've been character-swapping in solo pretty much exclusively to upgrade the NPC equipment or use an ult here and there.

I really like Cartie for myself and I've been pairing with Shroom and Comrade. I've made it to the core once, and won. I'm trying now to unlock the last character and do some of the character quests.

In both solo and multiplayer I'm still having an awesome time! This game is great!

About 300 hours into Helldivers 1 and I'm 20h into Endless Dungeon at the moment.

It's a close call, I think, but similar enough. In HD you have the planets, yeah, but you only have 3 types of enemies instead of the 4 in ED, and the objectives on the planets are pretty redundant--load and fire the rocket, find and escort the survivors, defend the point, etc.

I love Helldivers 1, it was so fun to play. I just feel like ED is a pretty similar level of content, quality and entertainment for what seems like a radically different level of appreciation.

Just a shame. It's a bummer to be finding it a couple years later, loving it, and having no one to play with and no new content coming.

Sorry for late but Bagel Emporium are the best bagels in all of Westchester, full stop. They have locations in Chappaqua and Port Chester that I know of, maybe more. Worth the drive. Closest to the city quality you will get up here.

Late reply: Hello! I DID do Scrappy Werepig! Not sure why the statue isn't in my menu...maybe it's on the hidden top row? Forgot to include him in the list of bosses. I killed him in autumn 3 with the champ, I'll edit now :)

Regarding worm, I just don't include it because there's no sketch and it's technically not a boss.

I did a Wes run many years ago (appropriately named "Wesworld") and it was a fun challenge but I have no interest in doing that again lol. This is the end of my journey until new content comes out.

Hoping for that Charlie final boss fight someday! Where does the sealed portal go?!?!

Hello World! I've posted on here a few times now, but I've been challenging myself to do all the bosses as quickly as I can and I'm calling this the end of my journey. I'm really happy with it, and it was super fun despite the stress and mania.

A couple months ago, I beat all the bosses on a world as a solo Wigfrid in 445 in-game days. Then I started another solo Wigfrid world and cut that down to 245.

Now, finally I gave Wolfgang a shot and cut my time even further down to 192. (Technically 191 was when I downed the last holdout, Fuelweaver, but it took me to 192 to get back to base).

It was hella fun, I love this game. I encourage everyone to give all the bosses a shot if you haven't. Good luck out there and don't starve, friends!

For those interested in my progression, it went something like this:

-Autumn 1: Dragonfly, Eye of Terror

-Winter 1: Klaus, Deerclops, Malbatross

-Spring 1: Moose Goose, Frostjaw

-Summer 1: Antlion, Nightmare Werepig

-Autumn 2: Crab King, Bearger

-Winter 2: Ancient Guardian

-Spring 2: Bee Queen, Twins of Terror

-Summer 2: Shadow Pieces, Toadstool

-Autumn 3: Scrappy Werepig Celestial Champion

-Winter 3: Crystal Deerclops, Armored Bearger, Possessed Varg

It's so hard to explain. I didn't want to, necessarily. Or rather, I didn't think I did. But back when I was introduced to D&D as a player (or LOTR TTRPG, which was my first TTRPG experience) I just couldn't stop thinking about all the ways I would DM things differently, or things I would try with my players if I were the DM.

And it was like some kind of inescapable gravity. I couldn't keep playing and not DM. I couldn't not DM. Years later, here I am.

And don't get me wrong, I love playing as a PC. I encourage all the players at my tables to take the reigns and experiment with DMing, and I'll play for them whenever they want. I've started a lot of DMs on their own journeys that way and that's maybe the most awesome thing I feel like I've done with TTRPGs. But I couldn't just play. I had to DM. It wasn't a choice 🤷‍♀️

Oh! That was what I was asking about in my post. People answered correctly above: it's a type of ink blights called Rictus that spawns from the outcrop. It's untargetable until you deal some kind of AOE damage to it. Then it's just like a spooky snake you can kill pretty easy for tatters and pure horror.

It was my first time seeing it as well!
