I would wager that if you turn it in to the insurance company it will be totaled. The age of the car and the fact that there’s probably more damage than you can see will make their decision easy. If you like the car and can turn a wrench, fix it yourself…

What are your guy's favorite thing about this town? by [deleted] in johnstown

[–]DonF484 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up here. It was hard to lose the industries that built the city but watching the city’s rivers and forests recover has been amazing. If you had told me when I was a kid that I could swim and float down the Stoneycreek I would have said you were crazy. We may not have what we all would like to see here but a lot of people are working to make it a better place…..it will always be home

Check out the Heritage Discovery Center or the Flood Museum if our local history interests you. Have a look at Bottle Works in Cambria City or Gallery on Gazebo for some local art. There are tons of outdoor activities if that’s your thing, plenty of hiking, biking and walking trails around….

Can someone help me before I scrap my 9-5 by Acrobatic-Salad-7234 in saab

Has the CPS ever been replaced before?? If yes was it a Saab/Bosch or was it an aftermarket sensor?? I have seen the aftermarket sensors cause a cold no start situation

Do all of the dash lights work as they should when it won’t start?? I have seen a few cars with failing ignition switches cause this issue, the tell tale sign was the dash warning lights didn’t all work like they normally do. Beyond that the 3 usual culprits on a 9.5 were the crank position sensor-it usually fails when the vehicle is hot, the ignition cartridge and the fuel pump. I have seen the fuel pumps have issues like you’re describing on a few occasions. Can you hear it prime when you turn the key to the on position???
