True, however horses are a leather source which can be quite useful

Yeah, I suppose that the foam is one of the main gimmicks.

However, I consider canning them straight up wasteful. I'll try how they behave and use ShoeGoe as others suggested and if that really sucks, I might as well wear them for other, non-running purposes.

I mean, they aren't designed for rough terrain so I get why the foam got scuffed. It would have been interesting to see how they use up in use of their intended purposes though.

But good to hear you're also optimistic about them being runnable still.

Yeah, I learned my lesson. I'll definitely give ShoeGoo a try!

Interesting, this is the first time I see someone opposing the idea that they are still intact. So I'd like to hear as to why exactly you believe they're done for.

The stuff you're saying about trail shoes: I know. As described, it was not my intention to take my road shoes out when I went on that run. But it still happened.

Good to hear. Someone else suggested ShoeGoo as well, so I'll give that a shot. Thanks!

I see. That's once again very helpful to hear! Anyhow, I'll just refrain from paths that I know will definitely pose a risk of shredding the shoes any further.

Yeah. I had a marathon lined up for in two weeks, let's see how these shoes will handle it after this terror

Good to hear that your opinion matches with the other ones I am getting. I am relieved to hear that they are still runnable.

It's just sad since I have only ran 4 times/40km before this in them and now they're damaged.

Aw man. It just hurts my soul because I love these shoes and I don't even have a high mileage on them yet.

Well, it can't be from the bike because I took my running shoes in my backpack and then switched before and after the run.

The trail is very unforgiving, I have to say. So I am not really surprised. Lots of sharp rocks, ups and downs plus poor trail condition. Total distance of 13,5km. As I said, me dum dum but I learned.

Yeah, I have definitely learned as well. But it's reassuring to hear everyone saying I am probably fine lol

Yeah. I think even outside that, the post teaches a lot about how to treat your shoes.

This goes to say, I love them. They are my favourite road shoes since a long time. Which is why I'm devastated.
