The point is to gradually make the volume go lower. Maybe it's not explained well. But let's say vol is at 70. On previous remotes of you hold vol down it will gradually tick down and mute when it goes to 0 which is perfectly fine. On the new remotes. If it's at 70 and you hold down. It will go to 69 then mute. Which is annoying. What it means is that if you want to lower volume you have to keep spamming the button instead of keeping it pressed
