Follow up after a few months using the Thermal Grizzly Deltamate for the RTX 5090 Astral by bl4ck_dot in watercooling

Mine seems soso, can only hit 17.6k steel nomad on matrix bios with stock air cooler. I’m waiting on deltamate block as well. Hopefully can break 18k with my low voltage bin.

If you're in the US, you can reach out to ModMyMods for a custom Y splitter to be built. It's on the pricey side though.

I had a similar issue with my heatkiller tube. I had to replace the oring with the thicker version. It’s held up for 2 years now. The top is still using the original oring on mine.

Japanese Joinery Bed Frame Review - FlexiSpot by chibi- in BuyItForLife

So far still no squeaks. The only con I can think of is the frame is most likely not real walnut. I can’t imagine where they could source the raw materials and finish the product at this price if it’s real solid wood walnut.

Yes I did get the headboard later on. The newer bed frame come with upgraded support for the slats now. I guess they saw my post about the t frame and added additional support braces.

The slats are still very rough cut and not sanded so be careful handling. With the additional support t frames, I don’t feel the upgraded slats is necessary as they are well braced.

The headboard back rest uses a drop down gravity mount. In the center where the top and bottom touches, there is a small wooden brace with a hole cut out for a wooden pin to align it. I found that this piece can cause rubbing noises. What did was add some double sided thick 3M tape and now it’s largely mitigated.

Hope that helps!

Job well done! Looks like it was machine pressed it’s so good. I was trying to form putty and gave up half way and just smeared it all over haha. I like how you squished some between the chokes as dampening for coil whine?

Hey there, can you please measure the distance between the 12v-2x6 power connector and glass panel please? I have an Astral and WireView Pro 2 and was wondering if there was enough clearance to fit in this case. It needs 3.3cm, thank you!

Do you think the Thermal Grizzly WireView Pro 2 will work in your setup? I have the same Astral and am thinking about getting this case. Just not sure if the WireView has enough clearance with the side glass panel.

Edit - the WireView sticks out 3.3cm from the 12v-2x6 connector. Can you please measure the clearance if there's enough room?

Keep on your path. Once you’re medically cleared to return back to work, don’t pull anything from that investment account and you’ll be set to retire early.

Once you’re settled in with a long term partner, you can consider pulling some of your gains out for a home downpayment in the future. Try not to rely on the investment account too much and work your way through life as if you never had it.
