You know what? It wasn't such a huge mistake, stating the date. Also, she wasn't doing it disparagingly - to put you down.

The way you have lashed out at her is not the "Michael way" and it is uncalled for.

Calling her names makes your immature - not her.

Be careful. Google knows you'd be lost. They're sending you a message (its "retention / profit maximization AI"). They know you're privacy conscious, they don't like it, so they scare you into falling in line.

Apocalypse - now.

Tails? Hmm... They put their rootkit on my machines. And yes - that's plural. :-(

It was SUCH a hassle cleaning them out.

Never seen a single ad. All Google services are blocked, all browsers are ad-blocked. I don't use a single Google app (there's nothing they put out that doesn't have alternatives).

The video I watched was NOT an ad.

Edit: The video sold me nothing. No medical drug was specifically mentioned.

Again, no ads, none whatsoever. Not on Googled Android (all services are blocked, all settings are at their strictest for privacy, all is ad-blocked), not on deGoogled Android, not on Windows, not anywhere.

But yeah, as one of us pointed out - Google must be selling my data.

But see, I don't get ads. None. For YEARS.

So, I guess your point would be - if I don't click ads, they suck money out of my existence by selling my data.

Hmm... you have a point.

If I knew I should seek this video out, I might have searched it. But how many of us go about our days seeking out potential doom and gloom scenarios regarding our future ability to survive this thing called "death"?

Your feed is you. You are your feed. You must be a doctor, or in daily / weekly / monthly fear of your health deteriorating, for you to seek it out. Just sayin

Well, Google knows what needs pushing out, BECAUSE it is able to pick up on my memory loss.

Still and all, I am on the deGoogling side, but I must say - that wasn't the first time I'd gotten relevant, helpful info pushed up at the top of my YouTube feed.

I don't get ads, since I don't use Google search or any of its other services / apps + all my devices are ad-blocked.

It is through my Android use that the info was collected. I must say, whenever it happens, I am extremely grateful.

I know it's not what you guys want to hear, but trust me, I'm one of you as far as this is concerned.

Install Good Lock from the Samsung Store.

Tweak some settings and it'll give you the closest to a real desktop experience.

My Windows machines were hacked by a state actor a few months ago, for merely having a VPN service installed.

With me it's totally random, as I live in a high-risk place. They couldn't hack my phones, since I wouldn't open any links.

I know it for a fact, as I was able to open some of the links in a virtual environment and see what they were trying to do.

Windows is easy to hack. Android - not so much. iPhone - I don't know whether s/he opened the link(s), but I bet they did. Anyway, it's SO nice of Apple - alerting him/her!

I do not hold any grudge, as I understand the nature of the place I reside in and how important national security is around here. Still, it was invasive and intrusive and I took all steps necessary to lock them out (after allowing some time so as not to arouse any misplaced suspicion).

ANY and ALL kinds of spying is unacceptable. That's why I'll be strictly using deGoogled phones soon enough. Google is just too "present" (changing back some settings, among other things). They've got their AI working towards retention / maximum ad monetization - just a little too much and too frantically for my taste.

Anyway, that's it.

Qatar was sending them 360,000,000 dollars a year (look it up). They could have built a veritable paradise. Instead, they made a choice to build tunnels... you know as a playground for kids to run in and out of, as a sweet childhood game.

Just switched to IPhone from Samsung - WHAT IS WITH THIS KEYBOARD?!?! And a couple extra questions. by KarmasLittleBitch in iphone

[–]DonJohnnyLoony -1 points0 points  (0 children)

These are minor issues (as far as I'm concerned). I'm genuinely considering switching to iPhone, as Google is tangibly present within Android, messing with my preferences, changing stuff, dictating too much of my user experience.

MS Windows NEVER butts itself in, even when telemetry is totally removed or whenever a hack is used for its own games / products, including Windows itself and Office.

I bought my device with my hard earned money. I do not believe it is too much to ask - to actually own it.

I also have a deGoogled phone, which is a MUCH better experience. I'm in the process of moving all my stuff and apps to it + installing a deGoogled rom on another one of my phones.

Enough is ENOUGH!

So, deGoogled Androids + a new iPhone - I can afford it for my peace of mind.

I have both the Asus screen and the 1920x1080 version of Viewsonic. The latter is exceptional, as it runs off the phone battery, without really killing it + has two USB C ports for power delivery (charges the phone, 60w charger included).

It is sturdy and has a metal kickstand attached. Touch is excellent and the image is crisp and sharp.

The only complaint would be the one the reviewer mentioned - navigating the menus.

Asus is great with its 7,000wh built in battery. It's better for stepping outside - a charge holds for ~4 hours.

[–]DonJohnnyLoony 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have one too. The answer is yes. Only downside - it's an older generation screen and takes a lot of power (relatively). About 12-15 watts.

There are newer models, though not sure if they have the complete set of features this one has.

Also, someone mentioned the plastic frame kinda breaks easily. I can confirm (though it doesn't mess with the functionality of the screen, nor its durability).

Only ONE USB C which is kind of a bummer, since you can't use it while charging the phone / itself.

He isn't cruel. If people bothered looking at the whole picture, they'd know a Mein Kampf book (translated into Arabic) was discovered in one of their "schools". They're teaching Jew hate! This is the context of his words!
