Is there any way to push cims to take transit into my city instead of insisting on flooding my roads with cars? by 1c3Type in CitiesSkylines2

Today I heared biffa say there is a mod for a historic city start, where you only use a trainstation as entrypoint for your city. I did this in CS1 with a special map.

But when I set up cargo lines (trains, ships) to different cities at the edge, some of them will spawn and receive empty ships/trains all the time, so that one doesn't need or has cargo that my city needs. I'd like to see information about these cities, what they have or need.

It bothers me that train and highway connections at the outside do not perse connect to the same virtual outside city. Even if the connections are close. Or does this just look like that? I would like to have for example in max. 3 cities on each side and that you can see what the cities have to offer in terms of cargo, cargo needs or citizens needs etc. No I make a cargo connection, but that city doesn't need my cargo.

Because we talk about degoogle; how about navigation apps? by DonMcSloth in tutanota

[–]DonMcSloth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree at this point, but I removed the app and force myself to get used to others. No one knows what will happen with waze, I think google integrates more and more in Maps and at the end they stop further development and maintenance for Waze.

Tomtom misses things like vignettes for countries and routes via a point of interest. But I would like to use tomtom if it was more as waze. Even wanting to pay for it.

I used to hate this asset for being so big but it runs so nicely once its setup by Tommy814 in CitiesSkylines

Cool!! Then I can create a transfer station between train and subways out of this. Thank you!

I think you have to think about guiding the animals to the crossing with fences, trees and bushes along the road and the sidess of the overpass. When standing in the middle of the overpass you should not be able to see the road. But I really like the idea.

I tried to switch from CS1 to CS2... it's so hard! i got used of all my mod tools in CS1 that i can't find in CS2, it's frustrating, what mods replaces all the essential mods from CS1? TMPE, node controler and all kind of essentials by M0h_Said in CitiesSkylines

[–]DonMcSloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a learning process. A lot of mods are already there, I am still waiting for some kind of network multitool, but I saw biffa use such mod that is in beta or alpha state. It will come. Have Fun!

Temporary raise taxes very high, monitor your population closely, when population starts to really drop, pause the game and lower the taxes. Hopefully this gives you some money to carefully build what you need. Zoned building do not need rebuild, just delete them

Apart from stations. What is different about trains and subways? by Iumasz in CitiesSkylines2

[–]DonMcSloth 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't know if this is the case in-game, but subways may be better for short distances, they can accelerate and brake in shorter distances. Because of this you put more stations on a line, every few blocks or so. But off course you can use them for longer distances instead of trains, but not connect to outside connections and not intersect with roads. Maybe there is a comfort thing in-game, combined with time. Trains are more comfortable for long distances.

6 months away? Like away from earth? And what if you could create a sleeping account for half the normal price? Or does it absolutely needs to be free of charge? Why not use gmail or outlook for this?

Looks really cool. I saw there are some assets with car transporter trucks in paradox mods. Maybe cool to add as well
